A long road? a yfz450 isnt going anywhere fast with its limited top speed. Gravel start? Maybe the raptor did get a good start and was geared high. so: yfz450 gets holeshot raptor follows banshee spins till 2nd yfz450 revs out in 5th long geared raptor passes yfz450 banshee pulls along and shifts to 6th gear ... sucky race conditions if you ask me...

Big Mike NY do you happen to know the inside diameter for the hoses? my inline water cooler has a diameter of 0.71 inch and that looks too small. i expect the coolant hoses to be wider. This is my temp/rmp gauge: showing RPM here Showing temp in celcuis here, When road racing the temp never comes above 135F i had to put the shee indoors and rev it up for 5 minutes to get near 180F a small spin around the farm and temps where down to 130F again On hot summer days it boiled over once in a while, usually if i was stuck in the mud or stuck on a steep hill. I can keep a close eye on the temp now and the gauge will blink red when temps come above 170F Or whenever i rev above 10K rpm .. i can use it as a shift blinker for n00bs

My set of rockets arrived today. I'm going to try them with my current jetting: 25 pilots Toomey needle on 5th clip 360 mains K&N inbox filter with K&N powerlid on the box. I'm @ sea level and currently running t5's. I'll also be replacing my stock reedcages (boyeson dual stage petals) with a vforce-2 set. But 1 thing at a time. pipes first. I have two 30 pilots availeble, but no richer mains. 3 steps richer on the mains would get me near 400 main! are those even made?

If i recall correct my K&N kit said 6 to 8 sizes bigger on the mains. i went from 280 to 340 up to 360.

2 me this looks more like the ring cought the exhaust port and cracked a piece or the crown off. that could explain the rattle you heared before.

Mine revs up to 10500 at the moment. bought a temp/rpm gauge yesterday. Stock stroke t'5s stock carbs boyeson dual stage reeds and k&n airfilter. but after 9000 rpm most of the power signs off

Yes on the temp gauges. Can a temp sensor be installed in the stock banshee head? for example right in the centre where the small tube is comming out? Thanks.

Both pistons (banshee and rz/rd) are 64.00 mm in size stock. .10" = 0.25MM .20" = 0.50MM banshee .10 oversized pistons are not always easy to get. Wiseco lists kits for banshee and rz's. I ran rz pistons in a banshee and had no issue's if you wanna be absolutly sure.. then go with rz pistons.

Doh..... i had tithead on the phone last saturday... he said "no recent crashes" and now look what happens.... haha i almost thought you lost your crashing touch I hope the damage isnt to bad mate!

looks like a starting relais. if your battery is weak and you try to start the bike this thingy will make a sparky sound. if your bat is ok.. and connections are good.. it might be failing on you.
