  1. I liked the silver theme alot. Well keep up the good work Lee.
  2. at low end the heavy oil will not be sucked into your cilinder. i really think the heavy blue smoke is oil. rich or low on fuel will not cause blue smoke especially not heavy blue smoke. Maybe someone else can comeup with a different cause. In the mean time.. you could check your oil level in your clutch just to be sure.
  3. Haha this must be the longest running AD ever. i hope you sell em checkster!
  4. Can you send me some more pictures? mailto: kleito01@gmail.com especially of the t4 headers. Thanks
  5. Heavy blue smoke + clutch side cylinder.. sounds like a bad crank seal to me cant make much else of it.. blue smoke == oil
  6. 320-330 mains 4th or 5th(last) clip on your needle from the sharp end. maybe some 27,5 pilots
  7. I agree with Banshee~. sounds lean to me. 340 mains 27,5 for your pilots should be enough. what type of needle to you have? the stock 5N7 needle?
  8. oh well .. the cheaper banshee and cheaper mods leaves money for spare parts but yeah.. point taken.. i dont have a 80+ hp bike so i cant really comment on that but i can see how doubling an engines HP can and will break parts. "I think the 06 YFZ and 450R have MORE HP than their predecessors....stock." could be true.. all i have seen is the same mods done to a 04 model give better results then on a 06 model lets not start a big fight.. and just enjoy our 2-strokes.
  9. 4stroke: and more reliable. I really have to disagree on that. Ive had my 2003 banshee since it was new.. always giving it a beating of a lifetime.. (ask tithead) and this banshee has overcome anything it was put up with.. In those few years i've seen 660's 450s predators and cannondales break down with VERRY expensive repair bills.. where my banshee only had the minor maintainance.. chains sprockets.. a rear axle bearing now and then. There are more banshees around and i never hear any bad stuff from the banshee riders.. my friend had his 700 raptor on the dyno recently it has 54 hp and 60nm on the rear wheels. gytr full exhaust and a powercommander + airbox with holes. it does around 84 MPH.. now with the smaller road legal tires it will be a bit slower. The suspension is way to soft imo. The suzuki 450 looks great (IMO) Both the suzuki 450 and the 700 raptor have been beaten on top speed rolling start and dead start with a yfz450.. THE OLD MODEL.. since the newer models really produce less power.. my 2000 banshee outruns the yfz 450.. on top speed and pulls harder. do the math. oh the 700 raptor has about 2000 usd in parts already on it... add that to the already much higher stealership buy a bike price.. spend that kind of money on a banshee and you''ll be producing in the 90HP range power. conclusion.. all recent bikes are fast.. what do you wanna ride? and more important...Will you be part of a legend? A way of life? If it where up to me we would all be breathing 2 stroke fumes right now... and baking our pancakes in 2-stroke oil .. yeah baby
  10. yeah what mike said. + a good rider can take of in 2nd gear..
  11. IMO the 35mm single wont do much over your current 33mm single. a dual carb setup will win some top end. i would say 2x 28mm or 30mm max for your current setup. +4 timing would be doable IF your compression is not verry high. ---- not sure on this:: I think advancing your timing will make you lose top end advancing the timing will make the engine more responsive. ---- so to wrap it up.. if you rather have a low/mid banshee stay with a single carb setup. keep the 33mm. advance the timing 4 degrees. you already have 20mm domes. so compression should be a bit higher then it normally is.
  12. Haha nice work with the lawnmower!
  13. No video's yet? i took the time to cut something. >wheely< <--best use right click and save target as. I cant Roll a slow wheely just yet. high speed wheelies are going allrighty. Have fun
  14. Congratz Gargamel! You will have lots of fun with that. Over in europe its no longer possible to get a new 2-stroke registered and steet legal due to emmission crap. and im told its also no longer possible to import a already legal banshee and have it re-registered over here in holland. But that should be BS... due to the "EU" regulations. basicly saying .. whats legal in germany must be legal in holland. Well again.. have lots of fun!
  15. Make sure you use the right fitting for your compression tester. If the fitting is shorter then you spark plug the volume in you cilinder will be bigger. thus your compression will turn out lower then it actually is. also. when testing the engine should be heated up and full trothle must be applied. Leave the ignition off i say compresion should be 125 psi.
  16. Im guessing a stripped wire which is shorting out the lights. Check the cables comming from your stator going to the rear end of your bike. i had a cable rubbing against the frame that eventually stripped and shorted out my lights.
  17. Great minds think alike ... lets hope we are right
  18. Yeah, take the air filter out and take a peak. maybe the slides of your carb are inserted the wrong way. Also make sure the choke tube is connected between the carbs.
  19. 5N7 is the stock banshee needle. the stock setting is 3th position (middle)
  20. oh ofcourse its for the air above the slide thanks bansheeseat
  21. I think that hole MUST be left open. its there so the air can flow somewhere else if the slide is comming down from top to bottem of your carb. well.. that must be BS what im saying now. air could flow into the engine. Mine are open.
  22. Hmm, My experience with a stock 700R on tarmac is that its verry fast. It suprized me. I rode the stock 700R and if the prices ever come close to the price of a banshee I will absolutly trade my 2 stroke with a 4 stroke. nice low end power, stunning mid power, lacking in the upper rpms. And i would have NEVER said that a year ago. 700R over a 450 in my book. (on tarmac) .. its a good thing prices wont ever come near those of a shee .. Just for the record, my banshee was faster. but the 700R really suprized me, its alot faster then a 660R
  23. Did this at night and was holding it open for 10 seconds. So thats 10 seconds at the point where it did not rev any higher. And i promise to never do it again
