  1. yeah, I'd look into something else, unless you want it for a show piece. They are good quads, just dont break them.....parts aint cheap.
  2. is it the same setup as a 200x, I forget. If it is I basically have everything except a frame, swingarm, and axle. I've got a 185S bottom end and a 200M (electric start) bottom end. Got a 200x top end with a high comp piston thats never been run, and another top end that I dont know the condition of (I know it runs though). They are still mated with the bottom ends, but I'm willing to pull them apart. Got a front rim with a beat front tire, front hub assembly, forks, steering assembly, holeshots on steel rims, gas tank, and lots of other stuff as well I believe.
  3. Just some info, the old banshee bars will hit the IMS tank, but the new ones without the crossbar supposedly dont hit. Sent you a pm about your riser sickboy.' An IMS tank is a great thing to have. Especially when you run with a bunch of 4strokes and your limited to how far you can travel because your the one who runs out of fuel first. Not to mention you can just carry a 16oz thing of oil and throw that in the tank, fill it up, and your off and running again.
  4. Is it backfiring and such? Have a compression gauge? I'd check things out before you go ripping it apart. A leakdown test might be a good idea as well. You'd love riding sand, its like riding on a pillow compared to the rough ass trails around here. Ever ridden in a big coal field that is pretty ground up? 8bees or whatever its called used to have a good area like that until the pulled all the hills down so it would be "safer". It was kind of like riding in that, but even softer. It's kind of rough with all the ruts if you have stock shocks, but you dont so you'd be set to hit up some sand. I wish there was still some good open places to ride in NJ like the Port.....but everything pretty much is running from the moment you pull it off a trailer.
  5. In your case nyuk wouldnt it be ..... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *pshhht* waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *pshhht* wwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and then grab a handful of brakes?
  6. If you wanna make some side loot on just selling that rox riser, shoot me a pm. I need one for my IMS tank.
  7. chances are it wont cause a problem at all. Now if you've got a whole bunch of them sticking pretty far off from closed then I'd flip them around and such. When your engine creates vacuum its gonna close them up. It'd be best to have them closed, but a little bit aint gonna kill you.
  8. a-arm skidplates are actually a good thing. They strengthen the a-arm and avoid denting in the fronts of them if you hit something. I came out of this little wash with my front end up in the air, hit a tree as I was coming back down, put a dent in the front tube and got some prm skids to keep it strong. Not to long after that I was in the mud and slid into another tree easily just as hard, and the skid did its job and didnt get any bends or anything. I have a PRM on mine, the newer ones are even supposed to be stronger. I've hit rocks and stuff hard enough that I've broken grade 8 mounting bolts, and all I have is a little dent on the chain side. My biggest negative thought on the prm (dont know if the new box style ones have more) is the clearance. It drastically reduces the center clearance and you can get hung up on ruts and rocks easier. Another thing is that if you do happen to dent it hard enough that it starts rubbing, its not gonna be easy to get it bent back out while out riding somewhere.
  9. I love working on the engine. Every time I work on it I know when its back together its gonna be faster
  10. lol....good find meat.....dont even get me started.....he's an idiot........kerry is an idiot..... I can almost see why people are having a hard time choosing who to vote for.....you got an idiot that fucked up the whole country and has the whole world thinking were idiots in one hand, and in the other hand you have an idiot that you dont know will be able to do anything besides shine his medals and ask them questions like you would a magic 8 ball. I'm taking my chances on kerry......he cant do any worse.....maybe he'll do something good for a change.
  11. she'll probably read all this anyway, but if I log out, she'll still be able to read it because of my history in the web browser. I could delete that and noone would be the wiser, but I have nothing to hide so..... I'll just take my licks, ride the shee the 3 or 4 times a year I get to anymore (which I get bitched at about), keep being the father of her daughter, and daily trying to improve our daily lives Not like cracking the shee open in 3rd down a trail is a stress reliever or anything.......
  12. 10 to 1 says you've got really bad compression on that right side thats backfiring. Get a compression tester, everyone should have one. They arent that expensive and are a valuable tool in telling whats going on inside your engine/how reliable it is. It'll sit at a compression for a good long time, and when it starts falling, your engine is wearing out. (without other variables going on (leaks etc).
  13. my question to you is how much money do you have? I'd say go with the shocks for those a-arms and then go with a set of pipes. I take it you have the stock pipes on it still? I'm sure you can find a set of cheap ass pipes on here for next to nothing..... Pull your airbox lid and get a pro design pro flo setup and that should give you decent power increase (make sure you rejet up a couple on the mains) Another thing you should really look into is getting some 2 stage reeds. I had the boyesons before I got the v-force and the increase in throttle response made my shee a completely different ride. It did what I wanted, when I wanted. And they are cheap too.
  14. would you be interested in just selling me the rox riser?
  15. just wanted to state that she's a good woman all in all.......if she wants to post remarks on here, I dont care, sorry its a little confusing, I know how that is. It logs me in when I come to this site, she just looks for the replies in the history to see what I've been looking at and talking about. I just dont know what to do sometimes Anyway, congratulations man, those rims are the shiznit and i'd definitely go with the same ones for the front. I've been wanting rims like that since I first saw them.
  16. hey, maybe you'll read this too, I wasnt calling you a bitch, it just gets frustrating when I go and buy you a quad and all I ever get from it is bullshit at work from people you talk to it about. And then christmas comes around and you ask what I want and I start to pull out RMATV and you say dont even think about it, I'm not supporting your habit....... You wanna talk about keeping shit private......stop opening your mouth at work so when I walk in all I do is get looks and remarks from the people you work with.......
  17. You don't have to leave it open fr me I got it....I guess the world needs to know that I'm a bitch also, go figure you never stop. Thanks
  18. damn dude, thats a nice hookup.....I should leave this page open for my girl to read......she bitches enough to buy me a stroker engine...... Women are like rollercoasters man......full of ups and downs and you never know whats coming next.
  19. when you first started noticing you had problems what did it feel like? I'm having problems with my kidneys right now I believe. Everything is tight and they are sore. I'm thinking they're bruised from my work truck sitting on a board all day long (POS seat, have been wanting a new one for a year now to no avail). It feels like I'm getting punched in the kidneys all day long, I cant even run or they will hurt, and walking around this weekend down at the shore I had to keep leaning over and stretching my back, and sitting down and they just bothered me all weekend. After the doctor today I'm gonna go get a kidney belt for work but was just wondering what it felt like. It'd be a good sign for others on here to read as well in case it ever starts coming on to them. That shit sounds like it hurts, good to hear you passed them on your own....the other way is the shits.
  20. seriously, depending on what shape you are in, going on a diet will probably be one of the biggest weight savings you can have. Besides that the best way to save weight is unsprung weight. The parts that are actually moving, such as from the shocks, a-arms, swingarm, axle, hubs, tires, rims, etc. There's tons of places to save weight, just replace everything that is heavy metal with aluminum and you'll be off to a good start, not to mention have a blinging shee...you could even go titanium with a lot of the parts.
  21. I think you're forgetting a pipe
  22. The rad is a little pricey, but I know you can get the tank plastics for 10 bucks a side at the dealership and its another 5 for the rubber pieces and foam piece. Just a thought.
  23. if you still have the stock thumb piece I'd probably be interested in the extended one for a good price
  24. Happy birthday man, drink till you cant stand up anymore......and then drink sitting down
  25. dude, buy the thing, even if the engine needs work. The chassis is almost worth that alone probably depending on the condition/aftermarket parts etc. If the engine comes apart, its still worth 1500 in parts alone. It may not be that bad, just needs a top end or something even smaller than that.
