  1. You can probably pick up a set of used cylinders off ebay cheaper.
  2. I would leave that to your bulider, they will decide whether or not its is necessary and they will do it.
  3. Lol thats great, I wonder who made it
  4. Usually you can hit 4th or 5th gear which is enough for me to tune, it just has to be when we're home obviously. It's a private road, so at the very most we'll get a noise violation, which they just tell us to put the stuff away. The only problem is that you can't ride back and forth for a while you can only make one to two runs up the strip, turn around then come back down. I've always been able to tune, I just let the bike warm up before i go and it works. Now that I think of it you will probably be able to get a 1/2 mile strip or so.
  5. Naw it was like $3-4 a jet, I actually lost a couple and they gave me some. They never have exact change either so I always end up paying like $5-6 less. lol Just don't go in there and ask questions they will try to sell ya a bunch of shit just tell em what you want. Hope that Loren or the lady behind the desk helps you they are nice the other dood, I believe Lenny told my friends that drag pipes were a joke and PT high revs made more power lol some people why do you have to go all the way to the dez to jet it? if you need somewhere to ride for tuning purposes, we live on a private asphault road you can use to tune. Jetting will be a little leaner out in the dez but it gives you a close baseline.
  6. The 33's are their own carb. I've always used the keihin brand ones, no one has ever tried to sell me the RD ones nor do i know what they are. What shops you picking these up at anyways? I've always gotten my jets from duncan and have never had a problem. The keihin ones have the star BTW.
  7. The stock a-arms can't be powdercoated, take off the bracket where the stock fender supports mount, if you have cut fenders (fronts). All of the small rubber grommets need to be taken off. Don't worry bout the stearing stem bushings and bearings the just cover em. oo and to save yourself a little time tape the pivot point on the rear break pedal off so you don't have to sand the PC off.
  8. Agreed thats why all politicians should be tar and feathered. O yea and everyone searching for the truth....go to the event and witness it thats the only way.
  9. Every now and then when i go on a ride i get arm pump and it gets annoying. I found a workout that helps quite a bit that might help some of you. You have to make the weight first though which is just a coffe can that you mix some quick crete in. Then you put plant hook( I have no idea what to call it except that), which is just a large screw that has a loop on the end of it. Just put that in the center of the quick crete and let it dry. When it drys get some thick string and tie about 3 feet of it to the loop on the end of the screw/bucket. Then on the other end you take some thick PVC or metal tubingand drill a hole through it to tie the string to. The workout itself is just to hold the piping with the weight on it straight out in front of you and twirl it up, basically wind the string/rope like a winch. Then let it back down slowly, after a couple of times doin that I am beat, but it helps with arm pump. I'll try to get some pics in a few days if anyone wants any.
  10. Try rockymountainatv.com, I just picked one up there for like 8 bucks or somthin.
  11. I guess you could say that the PJ's would be considered "old school", whereas PWK's would be "new school". I don't think there is much difference in performance, just size so i guess that would make a difference. Seems like a lot more people use the PJ's for alky idk y tho.
  12. Man I wish I could go, but the banshee is getting some new parts , but it won't be done till the end of next week at the earliest

  18. I believe that you can get extended J-arms through duncan racing, and denton. Denton's are prob less expensive.

  25. o sorry, umm exhaust duration is how long the exhaust port is "open" in one cycle, when i say add more basically all I am saying ir to raise it a little more, which will lower your compression because the exhaust gets out faster. Same with the transfers too though just so you get the correct amount of flow. The only down side is that you will lose low end, but gain top end so choose which you want.
