    I need boots!

my shee has been running like crap. found out that both boots, between the reeds and carbs, were torn near the the top all the way through. does any one have a pair of stock boots?
  2. thanks. already dropped a size on the pilots. will take her out this week end and do some more tweeking.
  3. I figured it out. sometime along the line of getting this thing cleaned up and running last year I mistakenly switched the bottom bowls of the carbs. one is so it can pull fuel from the bowl, the other isnt. so I switched them back and the choke works. now that i have the choke working I can tell she is REALLY rich at idle. she starts with out the choke and the second I hit it she dies. thanks for the input
  4. even after it warms up it is the same. I checked my pilot jets and they are what the local dealer puts in bikes for the dunes. My bro in law has a bike just a year newer then mine and his works fine. we have the same pilots
  5. when i start my shee it usualy starts okay. but if i pull out the choke knob then it doesnt change. in or out it runs the same. i pulled the carbs to see if there was a clog or anything but it was clear. what could it be?
  6. I am new to the Banshee show. I bought a used shee last year and had alot of fun on her. I would like to make sure that she is tunned up to her potential for the dunes. even though shee runs I dont feel the jetting feels right. my question is to know if there is some place you would recommend to get a banshee tunes up and checked out. i am from Idaho Falls Idaho, just south of St Anthony. anywhere in the area would be fine. And yes, i do not want to take it to Bott.
  7. I have an oppurtunity to get a set of t-5's for pretty cheep. The problem is there isnt any silencers with it. can I run these with stock exhaust untill I find some?
  8. There actually hasnt been very much snow fall there for 5 or 6 years. the problem with riding the duned in the winter is they have a close date due to wintering animals. doesnt stop many however. Ive had my quad out there pulling my buddy on a snowboard before. Ive also had more then one ticket
  9. Do you still have the front and rear fenders? if so, how much
  10. ill give her a shot. thanks for the info. If you ever make it to saint anthony give me a holler. I live 40 minutes away. well ride
  11. at first she was a bit boggy on the low end. I turned out the air screws till she was okay. she had a nice evn power band threw out mid and top. when you say up on the pilots, you mean one size richer. right?
  12. thanks to all the great help and info from the HQ locals, I rebuilt my shee. I put a new top end with new wiscos, and new seals all around. I stripped the frame all the way down and built her back up. like a new machine. I have her threw the break in period and she runs like a rapes ape. the only little problem i have is my low end. she is a bit hard starting when cold. and after warm it takes three or four kicks to get her to lite when riding. she smokes when idle quite abit. I thought it was because i ran 16:1 mix threw break in and figured that i had a lot of oil in the pipes. but i beginning to believe it my pilot. also, It seems like my choke doesnt make a hole hell of a lot of differece when starting and when cold. throttle responce isnt bad. i have the air screws out 1 1/2 turns. Do ya think i out to go a lean size on the pilot or am i turned around? what do ya think.
  13. hate to respond and spoil all the fun but i am refering to plastic.
