Is there any scoring in the nikosil??...spelling??? and can you get some pics of the damage to the head???

I had Trinity's 420 top end and while it was much better than stock I was not impressed with their porting. I think it had a lot of power left in it. They also take forever. Unfortunately they have some kinda rights to the Cheetah's so they all come through there. There are lots of other builders to buy them from but they all come from Trinity. I got mine from K&T Performance and I am very happy with it. I would sujest if you get new Cheetah cylinders get them through some other builder than Trinity and have them do the porting.

Is it the new style head with removable domes???

A man wearing a balaclava bursts into a sperm bank with a shot gun. "Open the f*****g safe!" he yells at the girl behind the counter. "But we're not a real bank" replies the girl. "This is a sperm bank, we don't hold money". "Don't argue just open the safe or I'll blow your f*****g head off!" she obliges and opens the door. "Take out one of the bottles and drink it!" "But its full of sperm" the girl replies nervously. " Don't argue, just drink it" he says. She prys off the cap and gulps it down. " Take out another one and drink it too!" he demands. The girl drinks another one. Suddenly the guy pulls off the balaclava and to the girl's amazement it's her husband.... "Not that f******g difficult is it?" he says.

For winter riding around here we usually go up 2 sizes on the mains

A friend of mine tryed to get his stock a-arms powder coated but the powder coater guy said it would wreck the ball joints. The ball joint is not removable on stock a-arms so he ended up just painting them.

the power valve Cheetah's are awesome... there's a 400 set up in the for sale forum right now for cheap. Sounds like it needs a bit of work though. Do a search there is lots of info on Cheetah cyl's. I did a review of mine a while back.

"I have the regular banshee elka elites and arms but I still have to breakem in and finsih installing them" When you get them all set up let me know what you get for travel... just to see if there is any diference.

The reason I am using these shocks instead of Banshee length Elkas, is just because I got a good deal on them. I was originally looking for some stock 450 shocks and found these instead. Then I got the a-arms set up with the mounts moved out for the extra length, which I had planned to do even if I got stock 450 shocks anyway. Now how much of an advantage is this??? Well I'm not sure because I don't know anyone with stock length Elkas to compare it to. What I have compared to is of course my old stock suspension... which sucks ass... and not suprisingly it is an enormous improvement. Also I know someone with a 04 450 all stock and again it is a huge improvement. I also have a friend who has stock a-arms with... I think... Fox shocks on his Banshee and once again... night and day difference. I realize those are not really fair comparisons but that is all I have to compare to. Now as for travel... again I don't know what you get with stock length shocks but I am getting over 11 inches, almost 11.5. So if someone with a similar setup but stock Banshee length shocks can measure thiers and let us know then I will have something to compare to. Again the only one I have to compare to now is my buddy with stock a-arms and Fox shocks but he only has about 8 inches travel. All in all without getting into all the debates about geometry and bump steer and all that.... AGAIN... this setup saved me a bunch of money and it rides awesome. Does it ride as good as a full blown custom Axis all around long travel set up??? I have no idea...and I doubt it... but I am very happy with it and I would recommend it to anyone. Just to throw in another plug I also got my rear stock shock boby rebuilt by "Shane" as part of this setup and again I am very happy with it. So the whole deal is... Elka triple rate shocks off a 450 with Sanddragon +2 +1 a-arms set up for the longer shock, and my stock rear shock rebuilt by Shane with the Elka dual rate kit. It all works awesome together. It rides and handles great... hitting bumps and landing jumps is like riding on a pillow. It has soaked up everything I've thrown at it so far. So if anyone needs any suspension parts or upgrades I highly recommend both Sanddragon Motorsports and Shane aka Lobo Performance. Rob I guess this should almost go into the review section now....

yup.... they were built for a 450... I think the Banshee ones are only double rate
-
These are wicked.... Elka 450 shocks and Sanddragon A-arms
-
Thanks Andy... I'm lookin to put some 450 shocks on my girlfriends Banshee now as well... I may be hittin you up for another set of a-arms made to fit them sometime soon. Mine are awesome....

I saw some 2006 yfz shocks on E-bay but the guy said they are longer than the 05's. Does anyone know if this is true??? That would make them fit even worse on a Banshee.

I've got a Cheetah 485 power valve and I love it. I got it from K&T Performance... great guys. I did a review on it a while ago... do a search in the product review forum.

I don't know about the cubs but I gota disagree on the Cheetahs with power valves. I have a 485 power valve Cheetah and it pulls evreywhere from bottom to top. It is so easy to ride I can't believe it. A buddy of mine has full drag ported stock cyl's and it is all top with nothing below the narrow power band. Mine has all the top end power but also all the mid and bottom as well. If you've never rode a machine with power valves you don't know what you're missing , and once you add in the head, pistons, intakes, V-Force reeds, that come with... the price doesn't hurt so much either. So I would have to say... Go power valve....

Ya I use Mothers on my CPI's and it works awesome. It takes some work but they come out like new... and it takes off the melted plastic. I have never used a buffer though... I just polish them by hand. I also used it on some old T5's that were all blued and rusty and they cleaned up like new as well... but it is a lot of work.

That's how I installed mine....

There you go...

I don't know of a measurement. I took mine down to an even radius around the pins. So I made the distance from the pin to the top of the lobe the same as from the pin to the sides. Unfortunately you can't see in those pics but it gives you an idea. Those pics are actually for the neutral back cut.

ok I'll try and post these

I've got pics... give me an e-mail address and I'll send them to ya
