So have you raced yet?? If so what happened??

This is a white and black 01 that belongs to a buddy of mine. It is his wifes machine and has been rode very little and very easy. I was at some grass drags a few months ago with a buddy who has a stock banshee with pipes and a cool head. There was Raptors, a Predater, a DS 650, a 400ex, and a V-force which was on nitrous ( but had a huge guy riding it ) and a bunch of other banshees. He easily beat all the four strokes and made it to the all banshee final. Nothing else could compete. Banshees rock, four strokes suck. You should have no problem kick'n their four stroke ass!!!

Why do you say the +4 stroker is a beter way to go?? I have a 420 b.b. and it goes prety good but I did a bunch of upgrdes all at once so I'm not sure what made the big difference. As always though it is not enough, so I was thinking of stoking but my porting guy says stroking doesn't make much difference and therefore is not worth it. So why do you guys think it is?? What kind of power gains can you expect from a +4 stroker??

Just get rid of the tranny all together and run a clutch system out of a sled. A buddy of mine is in the process of building a banshee with a 670 rotax in it for drag racing 140 hp before any mods. You just point it and hit the throtle, no gears to worry about, just hold on and go. It requires lots of fabricating, custom pipes etc. but it should be well worth it in the end.

Sounds like you're in the same boat as us. My buddy has an old banshee chasis and a wrecked 670 MXZ he is going to mate for next year. We have lots of work and lots of testing to do over the winter as well, mostly tires, sizes, and gearing for me. That 670 should kick my ass but he won't be able to run all the classes so there should still be some kick'n left for me to do as well. If you find some good combinations let me know and I'll do the same for you.

By the way we actually do run studs somtimes. They hook up great on real hard ground but not much good once the ground gets soft. They are also very heavy.

Ya there's not much grass left by the end of the day but there is a whole circuit of races up here. We run 500 ft. on the grass. They even run sleds, right up to the open mod class at well over 100 mph. We just had a race last week and the 1000 mods were breaking 112 mph in less than 5 sec. in 500 ft. Besides we'll race anything anywhere and if grass is what you got that's what you use.

What are some good tires for grass drags?? I've been running Turf Tamers and they are not bad on hard pack but is there anything better?? Also I would be willing to buy extra tires for hard or soft tracks if I knew what work for what conditions.
