  1. I heard that salamanders are very good, my friend has one and it heats the garage very quick and very hot. They are forced air Kerosene heaters. Salamander heaters
  2. I would not drop a tooth, i think its geared low enough stock. I rode my friends banshee with stock gearing and it did fine through the trails. If anything i would get a larger front sprocket. This will decrease your bottom end but you will get more out of your engine and be able to go faster through out your powerband. I would only do this though if you get some new pipes, or something else to increase the power. My Banshee has one tooth higher and it does fine through the trails, you just need to get good with working the clutch.
  3. I have gates i have to go through when i want to get into the field. I have to go through them every day because i have to go back with out Magnum and dump horse shit every day. I usually just unlatch it then hit it with the fourwheeler to open it lol. I know that a remote opener would be the shit!!! too bad i dont ahve any money for something like that.
  4. I mainly ride trails and i love it. It just takes a lot of skill with a clutch to ride a banshee slow. I'd invest in an EZ-pull system, i have one and it works great. Definitely get a better air filter system too, something that bolts tight to the air box, the stock one is not very good and will allow shit in the engine, i have a pro design proflow adaptor with k&n you can also get the pro design adaptor with a foam filter. Strongly recommended. Like die infidel said my main problem is always having to wait for your buddies to catch up. You also may lose riding buddies because they get pissed off when you roost them or just flat out smoke em.
  5. My friend has a membership to the mad river club and he can get me in there! I think the main road on the club leads right into lewis county. When i didnt have the Banshee we rode out there with the polaris's and went to some bar. When ever this snow melts we should get some HQ boys together and do some riding.
  6. Slap a tooth higher sprocket in it I bet after a while you could get close to 80 by just doing that. If its running good. That's mainly what hurts the stock banshee besides pipes, i think out of the box they are geared to low to compensate for the lack of bottom end power. If you know how to ride though you dont need to have low gearing. Just my 2 cents.
  7. D&D racing charges $190 for stage 1 porting. I'm thinking of taking mine there to get them ported. I dont know what other people charge though i'd also be interested in what he charges.
  8. I have also thought of getting a set of those just to try them out. Thanks for the info, thats all i need is to have to rejet again!!!
  9. keep the stocker, aftermarket ones are a waste of money. I dont think they do anything and they have no claim of even increasing horsepower.
  10. Yea i bored mine .20 over last year. It doesnt really change it all that much, just makes it so your cylinder is good again. I havent had any problems ever with overheating.
  11. Well i just looked into it, I think that it would be better. But if your not gonna race i'd just go with the timing key or modify the timing plate. Someone on here made a post on how to modify your stock timing plate and its the same as a new adjustable one. If you have cash to burn though i'd go with the dyna ignition.
  12. Definitely run it if you have high compression. My friend ran 87 in his 800 with high compression heads and blew it up. He messed up the cylinder wall and the piston.
  13. Get a longer throttle for it or an extension kit. I think if you got bigger carbs it would pull easier also plus would gain more power.
  14. I like Some rap mainly like Dr. Dre, xzibit, eminem, Kottonmouth Kings. I like listenin to country tunes too lol. I think Kottonmouth Kings are the best, i've bought every one of their CDs.
  15. Hey not a bad choice, at least your staying loyal to Yamaha, thats where we would have a problem with you (J/P) good luck with the new YFZ.
  16. True True. I've raced a couple times in snocross and i know all about that. I raced in like 2 races at old forge and wiped out on this ditch that i didnt see because they wouldnt let me take some practice runs. I've also ridden a 2003 pro-x 440 that seemed to steer a lot better then the firecat snopro, my step bro is the one who owns it, he's ridden arctic cats before too and he said the same thing. i think they are just too high. They do soak up moguls very well though. They accelerate like a mofo too !!!!!! Can't imagine what the 700 can do. I think off the line the one i rode would take a 700 because this thing was clutched and tweaked up a little. I think it would even take my buddies 800 edge thats ported!!!
  17. Today i got the chance to ride a 440 Firecat snopro and WOW!!!!! That thing has so much power, it's amazing how much power they got that 440 to put out. I thought the Banshee was thrilling to ride but holy cow talk about acceleration. Only thing was it seemed very tippy and it seemed like it didnt want to turn because when ever you went to turn you'd wheely through turns because it's so jumpy.
  18. I think that if yours is tuned right it should beat it with the T-5s.
  19. Too bad it aint lighter with manual tranny. I've never ridden a Kawi but my friend has the scrambler 500 X 2x4. WOW that thing does wheelies without breathing. I can imagine what a 700 must be like. I got on my friends scrambler and rode a wheelie for as long as i had space to ride it. It would go up and as soon as it started to come down you could just hit the throttle again and it would pop back up.
  20. I think it would be easier to just get good a-arms for a banshee that actually fit.
  21. the link won't work for me its just a blank page
  22. I think that anyone who owns any type of machine will brag about it and put the other down. It could be someone with a Camaro dissing ford or Ski-doo people dissin Arctic Cat, or honda people dissin Yamaha people, i think what ever you have you will diss the other brand. It seems to be the case with just about every man i know who owns some sort of motor vehicle. Some women do it too, not nearly as bad as men though. It's kinda interesting
  23. I personally would go with holeshots i think they are just as good as the razors and are cheaper.
  24. It seems to be doing this for everyone i guess imagestation is screwd up.
  25. I've got White Power shocks on mine, i know that sounds racist but daym they are some good shocks and it lands like its on air.
