Did you pressure test the motor after rebuild?
What do ya mean that the jetting should be there?Any other mods besides the timming plate when you rebuilt the motor???
What is the gap for the pick-up coil?i installed my plate at +4 starts good, but never rode it yet...
Never mind I just read another post....... .015 to .025 is the gap....Some reason I was thinking .030ish
I also agree heat cycles are a must for the first 3 times the machine is fired up.Make sure the motor is totally cooled down...never stay at the same RPM's when riding....
I don't know about that one!
It has been done.
It's been done, but I wouldn't do that.Mine are golden brown about 2-3 inches down.If my pipes change from golden brown like they been for years to blue(rainbow colors) I would know somethings wrong.....
I have a Clark fuel tank 5.6 gallons.I like the fit alot better than the IMS.Also Clark has the air fins in the tank just like the stock covers.I also carry 2.5 gallons in the six pack rack.I can go 90 miles depending on how I ride.
There're a few guys out here running near the same set-up as you and +4.Their running 93, with no problems yet.....I'm going to try the same at +4 and 150 PSI.
I ended up removing 4 links.I started with 3 knowing it would be close and it was.It would of worked with 3,but removing 4 put the adjustment right smack in the middle.
