For dragging and your mods, I would go with 34's or 35's. That surface will be a bitch to hook up on, I see why you're having trouble with traction :baseball_bat:

The first time I went out on mine I ran a 5.0, and followed it with 5.1, 5.2. I've done a lot of fine tuning since then so I'm expecting mid to upper 4's for me now. I'm going back to the the 300' dirt track this weekend so I'll let you know what the latest is :beer: Oh yeah, I also weigh almost 300 lbs :baseball_bat:

The mod you are referring to for the shift rod is a pancake bearing. Jeff (FASTOYS) sells them, you could PM him for pricing and availability. I think FASTOYS sells the lockouts too, you might be able to knock it all out in one shot. Jeff is awesome to deal with... :beer:

I've done that for a friend of mine so he could keep his quad...actually I've made his Yamaha payment for him for the past 3 months while he's getting back on his feet. I'd rather do that than lose a long time riding buddy :shrug: To me, 600 bucks isn't worth selling your quad for, I'd pick up a part time job for a month before selling it. You can make 600 in a week delivering pizzas But, you do what you gotta do, I might have to sell my 450 in the coming months because I may be layed off at my current job, but that's a little different than your situation.
