  1. I would start with a 310 main and see how it runs. Be sure to do several plug checks to be sure he's not running lean. As far as the clip position, I'd leave it stock at first and adjust it once you have the main jet perfect...you may not need to adjust the clip position at all. Always make one jetting change at a time, so you know exactly what is doing what. i.e. change the jets, run it. If it feels good on top and the plug looks good but has a slight hesitation or sputter in the mid range, change the needle clip position and then run it. Just take it one step at a time and you'll be fine
  2. LOL, that's wrong!!!! Funny but wrong!!!
  3. Safety courses are a good idea, period. They may seem cheesy or lame but I guarantee you'll learn at least one thing from it. I took one last weekend for ATV's and it was well worth it; I wished I would have taken one before I started riding, would have saved me from a few accidents I've had over the years simply because I didn't know any better before. Aside from that, it DOES drop your insurance a good bit too! Just my .02
  4. Did you ever think he was trying to catch you to remind you that quads are not supposed to be ridden on the street? I'm glad you're not dead too and you should feel stupid, it probably would have made headlines and would impact the people that don't do stupid shit like wheelies down the street and running into mail trucks. "Accidents" like yours and running from the cops are what gives ATV's the bad name they have....I appreciate you supporting all the folks trying to ban ATV's across the country; you just gave them another reason why people shouldn't be riding them. Congrats Let me guess, you probably weren't wearing a helmet either....
  5. Must be a sleeper, looks bone stock to me!
  6. I had a real good experience dealing with him... Maybe there's something that happened that's keeping him from replying, not sure though. Hope you work everything out!
  7. No better person to ask than the builder himself. PM him, he's a member here. "PassionRE"
  8. bump...lol, someone pick this up before I talk myself into buying it!
  9. Are you talking about your main jet? If so, drilling them bigger would do the same thing as putting a larger jet in there...if you don't need to rejet, don't do it.
  10. That's a good attitude to have!!!
  11. By moving them around; them bumping something the wrong way....the TORS are junk!! They can easily be broken and can cause the biggest headache!!! I think the TORS removal kit is like 50 bucks....cleans up the look of the carbs and makes it easier to access them too. Also, when the TORS is removed, it's one less thing to worry about breaking on your banshee
  12. Don't be!! Mine would run up to 190-200 in the dead heat of the summer. If it goes above 200 then you have something to worry about. One thing I noticed is that when you see it getting hot, go faster. lol, it sounds funny but the faster you go the cooler the air will be hitting your engine which in turn will help cool it down. Worked for me, should work for you. You could also try rejetting like fixitrod suggested. Go up one on the main and see if it helps cool you down some more.... Also, are you 100% sure your temp gauge didn't take a shit? I had some really funky readings from mine after one hot day of riding to find out the actual gauge went bad. Couple bucks later problem was fixed If you have a laser temp gauge point it at the head when it's running and compare the numbers to what's on your temp gauge. If they're way off then I'd bet your gauge died. Just something to think about....
  13. Well, get your hand out of your pants and on a wrench! LMAO
  14. Get it running right Scott?
  15. I need a set of rear drag tires for asphalt. PM me with what you have... Thanks!!
  16. You must have missed the first reply...
  17. Damn, that has RNBRAD's name all over it
  18. Did you ever say if you've had your parking brake removed or not? If it's still on there, check to make sure it's not engaged.
  19. LOL, sorry man
  20. To be honest with you I left my coolant lines alone...they were touching the pipes and I put a solid 20 hours on them and had no leaks. The way I looked at it is the coolant hose is designed to withstand extremely hot fluids, the pipes touching it shouldn't affect the hoses at all. From my experience, I never had any problems. But, if you want to re-route them for your peace of mind, there is a flex hose kit you can buy that lets you route them pretty much however you want.
  21. Oh no!! What are you running for your timing now? Did you try switching the coil wires around and seeing if that made any difference?
  22. I think you mean richen up the needle If you went down on the clip position it would richen the mixture. Going up on the needle will lean it out
  23. LOL, that's my little secret!! I know, I know....I always end up learning things the harder and more expensive way!!! Thanks for the bizzump
  24. I thought you already changed your plugs? Also, you could have put this question in the post you already made about this issue rather than start a whole new thread
  25. Sorry ken, I just paid 185 shipped for it last week and the swingarm left the box for pics and that's it. 185 shipped is what I need to get for it... Thanks though
