  1. hmmmm... sounds suspicious!!
  2. Whyyyyy???? I know why and I had my eyes on it too. You little sneak!!
  3. Aaight fellas. Some of you know that I run a much larger main than I should, for those that don't know. I have a single 35mm/Trinity manifold setup. I run a 230 main, where the typical jetting for my mods are around 180. I can't even get a richer jet than a 230, so that's how rich that is. My plugs don't look all that bad, it runs pretty good, but I SHOULD NOT be running a 230 main. Now, I ordered all new gaskets from Trinity for my manifold and reed assembly. Tonight, I took my intake assembly apart, took the reeds apart, took off the airbox, just plain disassembled the whole intake for inspection of the gaskets and reeds and everything. Honestly, I couldn't remember if my manifold was the old o-ring style or the new gasket style, and was half hoping to have the oring so I could have an easy fix with the new gaskets. Nope!! All my reeds look good, all the gaskets looked pretty good, and the rubber piece that mounts the carb to the manifold also looks good. So, I have NO IDEA where my leak is coming from. I don't even really know that I have a leak. At idle, I've checked for leaks with propane gas, carb cleaner, and any other thing I could use and can't find a DAMN thing!! I had figured that my leak would occur at higher rpms under a load where the engine is sucking a little harder, but I've never actually located the leak. I still have everything apart, cleaned and more or less readly to put back in, but I really hate to without having found something suspicious. I've been riding like this for 6 months with no ill effect, but this just ain't right. Anyone have any ideas. Also, I took a pic of the intake tract, and there's a lot of black speckles, they don't flake off on my fingers unless I really rub on them or use my nail. Don't know if it's normal or not. Later.
  4. Guys, the banshee is a twin, that's what it's known as! So, maybe a 500 4 stroke twin, or a powervalved 500 twin two stroke.
  5. uuuh, grade, uuuh i'm not good at tests... brooke, it's all in the timing. being cool is your thing so it'll come around. we, well I appreciate you at the least, not much but it's somethin. love can be evol...
  6. so WTF, all you peeps are keepin shit from me???
  7. oh, you don't worry yourself bout that mr. demon, in due time. but i think she's finally got the "she can buy me things for it or I'll end up getting it anyway" idea, or at least the, "riding is a way of life for me" thing. either way, i'm glad she's started to support me.
  8. Well, what is the problem? Is it bouncy, landing hard, bottoming? I always go to a whoops/rhythm section and dial it in over that. Too much bounce in the rear, aka bucking, you more rebound, if it start stacking, less rebound. and I dial my compression in for the softest possible setting without bottoming out on the biggest jump or through the whoops. your ride height for mx should be around 7, and for xc, more like 8 inches. Who were you talking to at Elka?
  9. Yeah, dunno if I could trust ol JT with my quad.... oh, and I don't know if Brooke's vouch is for the good or the bad... .lol
  10. Led, will you finance me on your ex? Maybe for the wifey? See if I can up the ante some.
  11. It's all good for the sport. Call me crazy, but I actually kinda like the honda, except for the funky nose. That thing looks like a mini in that pic tho.
  12. I need to quit coming and reading this thread. It gets worse everytime I look in here.
  13. Is that this weekend? I've got the little boy all to myself, maybe see if grandma and grandpa wanna babysit for a little while.
  14. I want some fullbores.....
  15. not the visual i wanted at the moment. that why you and your old lady weren't getting along??
  16. If I know that it won't be too busy, I'm thinking of bringing the 40 footer. I don't really need electrical, but it'd be nice. But, I don't want to drive that hog all the way there and have it be a bitch to get in anywhere and I like to keep it on somewhat decent roads, it's a little too pricey to be off roading in if you catch my drift. So, I'm just trying to plan. I really wanna by a truck camper for the bed or some little piece of shiz that would be good to just take up there and get out of the elements with.
  17. oh, you mean you wanted help? what was the problem you were having before? the big silver screws are the idle speed adjustment and are only adjusting the idle rpms. if they are loose to the point of moving and coming out, then you might have another problem.
  18. I'm thinkin some hipers for the front or some rolled edge billet douglas to match the rears.
  19. I refer to that file on a weekly basis.
  20. Check it. Got home Fri, or was it Thurs, shit don't remember. She was all, you have to be nice to me, and I'm like what??? She's like, well, I was gonna wait for them to come in, but I'll go ahead and tell you." She'd ordered me a brand new pair of rear Douglas Ultimate Billet Beadlock wheels. Should be here tomorrow. I'll post a pic of 'em when I get them mounted. Well, you guys know how it works, the next day, she gets a new 2 carat diamond ring. Whatever works!!
  21. yea yea! just leave the kidney stones at home. When are you gonna get there? Think spots will be hard to find or not be too busy?
  22. I'm new to stroker and long rod setups, but i'm tryin to learn... good point Oilsmoke, didn't think about the port timing change.
  23. ain't no chit!!
  24. OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH SSHHHHHHIIIIIIIITTTT!!!! For some reason, over the last few weeks, I've been having a scare of the kidney stones. I don't have any, but there have been quite a few around me that have had them or have been telling the stories. They sound very very very painful and I feel for anyone that has them. I heard about a study they did that people that had equal to 2 cups of coffee a day or over twice as likely to have them, and it's related to the caffeine. People who regularlly take in that much caffeine showed a HUUUGGGE jump in calcium in their urine and that's what they attribute to the kidney stones. Now, the people around here that know me, know I carry around a one gallon jug of wonderful super sweet tea and i chug on it all day. I'll go through a gallon in maybe two days. Now, I've gone down to gatorade and water. go figure. Also cause I'm trying to get my "figure" back. 6'3 and 200lbs is fine, but when it's in the right spots. Sorry to hear about your deal and I hope it didn't waller you out to the size of a golf ball.
  25. Why you lucky son of a bitch!!! Congrats!!
