  1. i don't see why not. get rid of the spacer and have Dave cut you some domes especial (that's spanish for special )!! I'd at least give Dave a call and talk to him about the domes. or what about some 795 pistons, aren't they design for a stroked motor, or are they only for a motor with longer rods and not a stroker crank? surely there's something that can be done. Only thing is, I believe it all washes out. Whether you space the cylinders or cut the domes, or lower the pistons on the rod (like with the 795s) you'll still have the same stroke and don't know how the spacer would actually affect performance.
  2. Anyone have a link to the site, I guess I could search, but it's more fun acting like a newb. Blue's link is showin some at $85 and up... never mind...
  3. Nice, thanks for the info. I have to find an air leak, and then I'll try some, but want my leak fixed first.
  4. Very nice, glad to hear it.
  5. here we go again, politics huh?
  6. yea, that's the only thing you need to do. you can turn the valve stem inside out and then drill another hole and mount another valve stem there. it'll help with the stabililty. if you do a lot of hard jumping then you might wear some bearings a little faster due to the extra stress, but no big deal.
  7. Works will be fine in the dunes. They're not bad shocks and unless your overly abusive, they'll work really good there and save you some dough. TCS are nice shocks, so it's your call.
  8. I'm still leaning towards a long rod motor for the torque.
  9. WTF is a pingle ??
  10. Bell helmets, the only way to go. They are extremely comfortable, and are super strong. Plus, the name has been around forever and they are #1 in name recognition. Also, they have some freaking styling helmets out this year. Mine's 10 years old and has survived several crashes, one including an ER trip. I should probably replace it, but the only thing is the visor has a small crack, but otherwise still perfect, kinda my good luck charm, so I don't wanna get a new one.
  11. I'm not to sure that those PC2's will fit up with your SST's too well unless you've done a little work with 'em. With proper gearing, you'll be in the mid 80's, don't know that you'll be able to break 90. dunno really. Go to BenBB's site and download his calculator on the homepage. It's an excel sheet that will tell you the given speed with the given gearing and all.
  12. The 2-1 pipe is a great pipe for more low and mid, but with the added low and mid you'll be sacrificing some top end. It's a great pipe geared for the woods or tight trails and it does it well.
  13. shit, i thought he already had one.
  14. Hey all. Just picked up some Sunoco 104 unleaded, oxygenated to 4.5%. I don't run race too much, but when I do it's from another place and it isn't oxygenated. What is the "typical" percent of oxygen and is this something I need to be careful with if it has a lot? I realize if it has a lot that I might need to bump up my fuel a tad to compensate for the extra oxygen. I haven't ran this new stuff too much, but I'm gonna check it out this week and run some plug tests and all. Just wanted some experienced opnions on it. GT Plus is what I now have. Thanks fellas.
  15. floats or maybe rear brake adjustment? maybe the rear axle quits spinning and bogs it some. i highly doubt it, but one view anyway.
  16. Snap-On box and a Craftsman box. I like Matco and Snap-On tools, but not too proud to buy Craftsman either.
  17. I wish all I had was a grand into my shee, but then what fun is that.
  18. Let me guess it happened to you? Nope, but I've seen and helped many while riding. Theirs would shit out and I'd have to help them fix it.
  19. Well, I think I'm gonna go. I've thought it out and want to make it. If I go, which it now looks like I will, I will be leaving Fri. afternoon and coming home Sun. evening, provided, I don't have another ER trip. There are several different TX peeps going, so if you wanna meet me at my house, we can all travel together in my crew cab or if you have something more pimp, we can take yours. I'm just south of the OK border, 10 miles east of I-35. Later.
  20. Before!! Before it leaves you on the trail. Before it drives you f'ing mad.
  21. I don't know about hurting performance, but I doubt you'll gain anything since the power is made in the header/belly by the sonic waves that flow with the cylinder. Make sense?
  22. Those old school FMFs are good 'ol pipes. The weight doesn't hurt either, see how fast you can be if you lose another 20.
  23. Yep, porting the stockers with some TDR reeds is a good way to go, but if porting them is a little to hard to deal with then you might just get some VForce reeds, they are about as good as you can get, a little pricier but worth it, and they're easy to install. I run VForce reeds.
  24. Hmmm, can't find anything on MMF nerfs and stuff. I googled, but didn't come up with anything but other peep's rides.
  25. Props to txblueshee, another fine example of using the search function.
