id go with the yz.... you have to beef the shee to come close in dirt, two cycles are spinners and dont hook as well, beef the yz and youve got one hell of a fast agile bike.......banshees are pigs on a tight track, compared to the little quick thumpers, no one wants to admit it but for short tight tracks, that yz is a rocket.....on another note....take a 1985-CR-125, and race it againt an 04 CR-125....the guy on the 04 is laughing his ass off as your old school chassis trys to manage the shit he's walking over.....the banshee is fun...but its over......i love my banshee's, but the newer designs are taking over......

i think pro quad has like a -4, i know he's sitting on his axle.....we both have the same passion engine....i use a -2, it hooks and handles much better than stock or extended....

Blue you say would like to try your motor with the cpi's, well my your motor is just like mine except I have the cpi's. Man, like I have always said I've not ever rode a banshee that pulled so hard and it just keeps on pulling. If you ever get a chance to make a race that I'm at I will let ride you it and see for your self. damm that would be sweet!! mine pulls like that too with pc's......ill bet with the cpi's yers is a pinch quicker, its hard to imagine my bike going anyfaster....i might just belly up and get the cpi's.....hows the bottom? and how are you geared?....does it just leap off an idle with no clutch?, pull to the moon and then some?...what reeds and intake? carbs?..sorry to pick your brain guy.....

i think jims porting doesnt so much lend itsself to any certain pipe as he said, his porting combined with his carb intake and reed selection feed the beast well, although the cpi's might be the best choice for all out ripping top end as theve proven them selfs on a vast combo of banshee configurations, i tend to go for low end so all my opnions come from that perspective, but you do have to go through the bottom of your power band to get to the top, as long as the pipe doesnt allow the motor to stop pulling at the last 1000 rpm's as maybe a paul turner mid would, i think any pipe that doesnt peter out or "float" at its peak will rip on this engine, id love to be able to try a SST and the CPI inframes, just for shits and giggles......

my motor breaks my arms from the bottom, right through the top with pro circuits, ive been meaning to go cpi.....but damm it pulls so hard from idle with the pc's id hate to loose any of that for a top end pipe, my riding i need down low, up untill i decied to shift, i think with jims motor you cant go wrong...... my track times have improved greatly and i have a blast with every twist of my throttle........jim mentioned to me something about cpi building a pipe based on his port, id be willing to pay for and try that pipe....i think any pipe with jims motors gonna rip.....with my pc's i can be just putting and twist it off and shee jumps up and goes, even geared with a 17 up front, my 1st second and third i can loop it if im not careful.......jims a bad dude and really know's his shit......2 thumbs up to jimbee

try a 17 up front no point haveing all that power geared close to stock, see if your first four gears dont break your arms.....i ran a 15 and was dragging and guys were right on my tail..i went taller gears they couldnt pull.... now i finish 100 feet in front of them......jims motor will pull the shit out of a 16 in the deepest sand going straight up hill.....

i saw that crap in the coolant and pulled the impellor and it was chewed up, plus you can feel the shit it feels like sand, the bike ran fine though and didnt seem to heat up, and i never saw any paint type crap in my recovery bottle, both bikes are twin 02's.....
