not all cops are assholes.. in jersey u get caught riding your quad in the street u are in trouble. evading is also a felony here . police have a hard thing to do, enforce laws and since not everyone agrees with the laws there's always gonna be conflict . there's always gonna be police that abuse there power. thats a giving nobody is perfect and it's just realized more when law enforment abuse it . but it's crazy to say all are bad .. also remember this people some of the hq members are police. respect that fact .. give them the respect they deserve but not calling all cops assholes. everyone curses at the police when they are arrested but if u weren't breaking the law u wouldn't have gotten arrested thats the price u pay when u break the law .. it sucks that laws are coming down on the atv community. but by riding in the street u are just making it harder for people who do obey them and own quads .

just for shits and giggles what kind of throttle cable did u replace it with? .. i know some throttle cables have an adjustment on the bars .. try messing with that make sure where it goes into the adjuster the cable isnt pulling out of the adjuster if it is there is your problem .. i noticed if u dont leave enough slack in the cable when u turn your bars or something it can be pulled of of the adjustment this happned on my bike because the cable was too tight . therefore when i turned the bike towards the right it was pulling out of the adjuster and reeving to the moon .. just another thing to look for im running out of ideas ..

then it was lean try going up from there.. and do plug chops . by any chance did u check the reeds? make sure they are seated right and there are no cracks ..

i'd start with a 300 u should be fat and u can work your way down from there.. change one jet at a time , the pilot can be changed after u got the main dialed in . after the main is good start your bike and warm it up. once its warmed up pull the choke out if it stays running your pilot jet is lean, if it shuts off and idles good u are pretty close .. make sure u do a plug reading after u adjust the mains each time ..

im thinking u are way fat.. i would honestly go up one size on the pilot and start around 300 i still think u will be fat if u dont think so. start at 320 then go leaner as the plug looks better.. seems to me that u are so fat its fouling plugs and that the popping u are hearing is the cylinder loading up with fuel ..

how about we list all the pipes for u and u can try to figure it out .. well lets start old school dg (toomey)t-1,t-2 t-3, t-4, t-5, t-6 (lrds)rvx, vpr , cpi, shearer,(fmf) fatties,sst,gnarly,revs,pro circuits,ptr mid and high rev, stock,bills,(dmc)916's , aliens, grand river racing suicide pipes, stealth hallucinogen,rockets,power pros..psi, ste(CPI's old name), outlaw uhmmm FTZ, graydon proline CT racing,wicked, kenny roberts scott m`s tuna fish can pipes there's many more i left out but u get the idea. u try and figure out what pipe is the best .. it's almost impossible for all the diffrent motor and terrain combinations .

theres your problem check to see if its still there when i was out in glamis i lost one of them .. if it was backed out to far it might have vibrated loose .. but theres your problem for sure it's in too far back it out and start over alittle is alot .

it's def. a problem with too much air going to the carb havoc was on the right track if they were rs carbs this would be the result of the idle screw being in too far or the slide was in backwards . your problem is def. in the carb u just gotta single it out .

its not that hard.. if u forget where shit goes label it .. its so easy to make a label between the labels and the clymers u should not have a problem .. just make sure u put the shift rod back in before u put the cases back together .. seen it happen before . -
