Thanks for all the advice. After playing and working on the jetting for what seemed like eternity I managed to get the jetting close. It took a 300 main jet, and needle jet in the 4th position with stock pilot jets - although I did have to adjust the air screw. This setting is starting to create and medium brown mocha color on my plugs after riding on it for a 1/2 hour and doing a WOT test on it.
I still have my air box lid on however. I ran it with the lid off and it was running hot and when I checked the plugs there was no coloring at all. So I put the lid on and rechecked it.
Now do I aim for a medium dark brown or a dark (not black) brown on my plugs? Does anyone have pictures of what color the plugs should be? How fast should they turn the brown color?
I'm thinking a 330 main with the lid off might be close to get a little more power out of it. Although with the SST pipes, K&N filter and air box lid on I was beating banshees with T-5's, duel filters, no box and reeds. Overall I was very impressed with the SST pipes.
Thanks for everyones help.
