  1. I'm sure I'll get bashed for saying this but thats the way it is around here I guess. All of these builders are great at what they do.Alot of people cut on Jims motors because they either had one or know someone that had one and couldnt get it to run the way it was supposed to.After a while they just give up and say his work is not what it is said to be.I had some trouble jetting my at first too,but I got mine straightend out.I now for a fact that others that give up on his motors could have tuned it to run the way it was supposed to if they would have stuck with it and listened to others that had the same problems and fixed it.But hey some people are just too damn stuborn.( no offense to anybody )One of the problems is Jim has just jumped into the game compared to the other mentioned builders. So most people don't know what he has to offer, thats why they are so quick to suggest a Big Name Builder.I wouldnt say Jims motors will only beat your buddies either.I drag raced my 12 port 4mill all last year and I beat alot of Rudy Kurtz drag motors, and a few 7mill motors.Anyway bash me if you wish I'm sure someone will have something to say. Thats all I have to say about that.
  2. Depends on if you are riding the wheelie bar too much. You should only be on the bar part of the track.I know alot of people that wont run a bar,but I say the added weight no big deal.I'd rather be safe than sorry.
  3. Reels Corner. You can search mapquest for Central City Zip code 15926
  4. Thanks guys, and yes I am planning on posting some video in the near future.I have a video of my old passion 12 port from last year at the drags if I can figure out how to get it from my regular camcorder to the computer.
  5. Looking for a good Digital Camcorder.Does anybody have any suggestions?
  6. Give Jim a call and talk to him on the phone.
  7. This will help. http://www.toomey.com/html/clutch_catalog.htm
  8. I mainly use them for drags, but the one track is loose with alot of small rocks and they hooked better than anything else I have found. The other track is a clay track and they hook awesome.I even used them to trail ride and they worked realy good on hard packed surfaces, sand, coal dirt, and slate piles. They worked pretty good in the mud too.
  9. You can try it with every other row cut out,but I've had better luck cutting every fourth row out.
  10. I say you just need a new set of clutches.
  11. Go with the man that invented the override.Rudy Kurtz from Port Magic Racing. He usually has pretty good turn around time.Give him a call.(760)244-8834

  16. The one and only.
  17. If I can get mine to a dyno I will, but it isnt a priority. If I can figure out how to post a video after I get some I will. Usually the high horse power machines that run all season are triple exhaust port engines. The triple exhaust helps the rings alot so you don't have one huge exhaust port.
  18. I watched a video of a ported 350 on alky with cpi's run a 3.77 in 300ft.THATS NUTS!
  19. We have used them for trails and drags. For drags we cut every 4th row out, straight across. They hook pretty hard I have no complaints. On the trails we never cut em.We ran about 2 1/2 or 3psi.The only problem we had was when they bit realy hard and wheels spun inside the tires. The turf tamers are worth buying.
  20. Check out this link.Jim knows his shit when it comes to strokers. He has built motors for people all over. http://passionracingengines.com/
