akita8 Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I have a chance to get a 1989 Banshee for $1200. The top end is blown but the rest of the engine apears to be in good shape. It has a 2 into one intake, cpi inframe pipes and that about it. Is it worth buying a banshee with the J arms? I don't know wether I'd keep it or just fix it and sell it. Quote
00tbanshee Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 if it just needs bored and a piston kit you would only have about $300 more in it.i have had j arm and aarm and i think the aarm chassis are alot smoother riding but the j arm ones are better if you want to build a drag banshee.so guess its all in what you want.i'd say its worth 1200 if everything else is fine on it Quote
bansheeman1988 Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 hell yeah do it, thats how i got my shee! Quote

If it has a clean title, then it is definitely worht $1200. If you don't want it, let me know where it is and I'll take it. :geek: Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 I would get it if that's all it needs. Why is the top end blown? Is it ported to run those cpi's? I'd take a peak in those cylinders if you can pull the reeds out. Ask if anything has been replaced since it's over 20 yrs old. Quote
