  1. well man there been alot of post so i ddnt read them all , but, i raced a 450r a couple months ago on cement, 18"rear fast trekkers 16/40 sprockets fmf pipes, and waxed his A$$ repeatedly, so i know somthing is up , more than just your low gearing, because i was only getting to like 4th when the race was over. unles you are goin for overall top end. and his bud had a 400ex and my buddy's blaster eat him up so , we all new that we were all bout were we shoulda been in the standings, but a banshee gettin beat by 400's is insane man
  2. i would agree with him^ sounds like the timing to me to, i have mine up like 4deg and it kicks me back rarely
  3. thats for sure!! ive ordered a head , dome, o ring kit. and evrytime it gets here next day, very good service and i gues it kinda helps im here in oklahoma too :biggrin:
  4. well i ran 18inch rears 16/40 on sprockets and feather tha clutch outa tha hole an eat 450's all day on pavement, and thats launching in first, i just lean down on the front and just back off a lil if it trys to cum up to hard
  5. well when i put them on it ran great to begin with , then it started running bad at wide open kinda like it was missing, do you think there could be another problem?
  6. what changes in jetting do i need to make in stock carbs for my t'5s? i have340 mains, 27.5 pilots v3's noss head, pod filters
  7. well i/ve had a hundred experiences with tha ridin 2strokes always causes a race , and it is so funny for some kid with a new 450 of anykind so far, come up to me at a ridin spot , or a local guy that knows about tha shee or my rm and be like wanna race? i bet i can woop that bashee easy m,y 450 got blah , blah , blah , blah. and evryone of them wanna know what ive done to it, (thinkn they'll have a list things that they wooped on a banshee) just to have the same outcome, leavng all p!ssed off mad at me for handed them there own @$$ in a bag after they never wannna give up at getting smoked, it just seems to put tha biggest smile on my face to hear how much money they wasted losing to my 16 year old banshee, and dont get me wrong, i love 4stroke and ride one or two evry week , but get it right , they wouldnt be pickn a fight if they wasnt tryn to use the banshee name as a mile stone in there stories
  8. yea the engine mount is on the front of the blaster swinger. and yea them lil blasters are a blast , thats was the first quad my dad bought us as kids and he still has it 12 years later on 1 bore. no BS stock everything but tires and rims, been wecked a thousand and 2 times, and has only had a axle bent once
  9. i have a noss head and i really like that you can use most other domes, and you use stock studs (a BIG plus) and it looks better than my buddies pro-design I think

  12. well im not sure if this is the same thing, but my rm had a prob with the engine putting pressure in the radiator and making it overflow when it wasnt even very hot, and i was thinkn a blowed head gasket but , its an o ring head as well, so,,, im thinkn its either got hot and warped or blowed a o ring, so i had the head planed and put new orings a and it fixed it like new
  13. i spent $1500 for mine with the same prob, and i think it was well worth it, but its an A arm , i havne t ever rode a J arm, but im sure its still worth it
  14. oh yea i have checked the plugs after each ride , because i have been adding a few mods one a time , and i havent really had more than a couple rides each before the next mod. i planeed on checked the pressure after i get it back together. any one know where a good place to just get the rings? (pn# 2539cd) i ordered a piston off ebay but tha stupid thing dont come w rings!! i didnt realize till i won the auction.
  15. well im leaning toward a lean condition, and both plugs were still tight, thats sunthn i always check b4 i ride
  16. well it only had that "holow , boggy " sound after i started it after it died, and then i knew what was up, but like i sade , right before it died it had that no rev , lean feeling, but BOOM it was to late and hadnt ever gave previous probs
  17. i gues il tear down the carb on that side after work tomorow to see if thats the prob , caus right now im stumped, and thanks for the help :: the only sign of bein lean was right before it died when i gave it WOT and it wouldnt pulled hardley past 3/4 throttle
  18. well if you can half way ride you should get him pretty easy, i think traction is gonna be you only downfall. i kicked a 450r's @$$ a few weeks ago after his buddy on 400ex called me out , he was like i got sparks pipe ,better CDI, carbs been tweaked on by some shop where he lived and all kinda other bs sayn its an 08 and it RUNS!, so i stomped his @$$ twice on asphault like rediculous, and needless to say he left, but not before my buddy burned tha 400ex with a 240 blaster i built for him, dont under estimate 2 strokes and just race him like you know your gonna win
  19. well my timing is at 4degrees, and like i say one piston looks fine and i have ran a few tank fulls through it with no prob. all i can find is 91 ,i been using 91 vpower from shell caus its about good as i can find.
  20. so you dont think it was to much compression? the plug was brown yesterday and the plug was tight and i just had the carbs apart last weak and they wasnt any trash. im running k&n pods 340 mains fmf pipes noss head vforce3's , one of my buddies did this but his plug was about to pop out when the top went, so i knew his leaned out.
  21. ok heres tha problem i went for a ride today and tha shee died and backfired so i guessed i probly losat one cylinder and yes thats what happened i had 150 and 147psi and i was running 91 octane w octane booster, and blew a whole right through the center of one piston , but the other looks fine, is this to much compression for 91? i have 21cc domes at sea level , the topend has less than 5 hrs on it and has 64.5 pro lites. should i get 22cc's and replace the one piston? walls of cylinder feel fine . no scroring . any help would be egreat http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj170/b...pg?t=1204236984 http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj170/b...pg?t=1204237038
  22. when i got mine (92) it was just like in the pic but w fmf's, i still got the white wheels and look ok with white fenders but tha pink decals got yanked first 10 min i owned it, but still had the pink shocks !!! i kinda like the turquoise and white dont see to many
  23. ok well ive got the jetting down , i'm now using a 340 main, 27.5 pilot and it runs like a charm, well after i changed the coil, it seems to have been about 90% of the prob , and i only figured that out after i got stranded at one of my ridin sopots
