Was wondering what the best 2 stroke oil to use is. I have used the yamlube 2-r but now I have been using the amsoil 100:1 but have been mixing it as 40:1 is this good stuff or is there anything better to use?

Not sure if there is a "best" oil but there are definately very good oils to use... everyone will have their preferences... I use castor 927 and 32:1 and I like it...Also used Maxima but the smell gave me a headache...

Rotella-T 15/40 24:1 here , its better than all of them.

Me 2, you can't beat that Shell Rotella T Synthetic Gallon for $16.50 at Wal*Mart!!

You gotta love 'em: Everyday low wages.... :shoothead:

Seriously, I use the 2R myself @32/1. I use the Rotella T Synthetic in everything I own...truck, car, RV, ZX10r, Banshee, Blaster, YZ250, lawnmower.... :geek:

Please use the SEARCH....as you can already see, there is no best oil...only everyone's favorite to run.

As long as it's not Crisco or Mazola in a can...and mixed at a normal ratio...you'll be fine.

Proper jetting and air filter maintenance are more important than oil type, IMO...

Coincidentally....I hear Bansh-eman and Firehead like Crisco..."in the can"...

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that...good for them, not my style....just saying...that's what I heard...

I use Castor 927 and I love it, especially the smell. Tricks people into thinking im running race gas.

last time i checked, yamalube was just rebadged citgo oil which is sold as an expensive oem oil. you can get the same oil in a citgo bottle for half the cost at a gas station. it is nothing special.

i use castrol 2t atv oil at 25:1.
