I am finally looking for a new quad, and i have decided to get one of the new 450's. Has anyone seen or heard about the new kawi 450. I saw one at the dealer yesterday, they look badass, and their fuel injected. Does anyone know how fast they are suppose to be.

 

I am looking at the new suzuki 450 but does anyone know, if you start doing mods, do you have to update the computer? or does the fuel injection automatically adjust for mods.

 

Anyone opinions or facts are welcome, i need all the advice i can get.

yeah looks nice, looks like teh same taillight as the 05/06 zx6r lol. But as for fi, yeah you need a power comander or simmler when you do engine mods and you need maps for them so it runs better. Aftermarket companies i am sure will make maps for their pipes etc, so not to worry, just need to buy a fi controler.

Ive got an LTR450 with a cherry Bomb, airbox lid removed and spark arrestor removed and it moves pretty good, Ive beaten YFZ's and 450r's with pipes and filters, Almost everyone I know with a YFZ that has ridden mine wish they had it, but the Honda guys really like their 450r, ohh and the fuel injection will compensate some but the more mods you do you will need a power commander or some other EFI commander

I say YFZ-450 because I had one that was fully modded out no big motor mods an with a full pipe, jet-kit, K&N pro flow, dirtbike cams, rev box and a few adjustments to the carb, lile quick shot an a fuel screw, an some other stuff, they dynoed my YFZ and it was at 50hp plus I ran with some modded banshee's an outran a few of them.

 

I say YFZ because its the only other quad I would have besides a Banshee, that an it leaves my friends 450R in the dust everytime his 450R has a new motor , been ported & polished and cam, 13:1 hi-comp piston , and a white bros pipe, the people that built my YFZ did one hell of a job because I didnt have as many motor mods as him and I left him in the dust everytime we raced.

 

But I traded in my YFZ to get a new Banshee.

 

I say get a YFZ.

Anyone else read in the new ATV Sport that Tim Farr signed with KTM?? I'm curious what they've got comin' in a 450 and possibly the big-bore class...

the new kfx 450 is a badass bike, i think it will be better than the ltr, theres going to be like 0 bump steer. i would seriously look into it good because i would probly get it.

will you need the power commander if simply replacing complete exhaust?

nope all youill need is a cherry bomb,also to add to this thread i have ridden yfz,and trx,and suspension is shit,and everyone knows that it doesnt matter how strong of a motor you got if you cant put the power to the ground,your motor is worthless.all 450 run about the same,its rider when mods are the same.i say zuk 450. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
