hey guys,

just bought a set of fmf rev pipes, they sound awsome but the only thing is that they hit against (what I call) petcock for the fuel shut off. I can only put on reserve now. And even when i put it on reserve..there is alot of pressure on it and fuel seeps out from the little handle. So does anyone know of any aftermarket fix for this???

thanks guys

That's crazy!!!

Do you have any pictures of this? I've never heard of FMF pipes rubbing or even being close. There are a few inframe drag pipes that are very, very close....but not a trail pipe.

Are you sure you mounted them up correctly?

Yea the only pipes that did that for me was my old DG Pipes :banghead: Never read or heard anything like that for FMF

I've got he same deal. It says FMF on the pipes and they were on her when aquired ten years ago. They looked like they were chrome at one point but have been mostly rusty since I get her. A real pain to work the petcock. I'll proibably upgrade them when I get the $'s.

Never heard of that before, but you may just have to shim it out so it gets away from it. Here is how I shimmed my Shearers...

Does the fuel tank come out easily if you have all your plastics off? Or does it have to be forced or shoe horned to get it out or in?

99 as everyone else said, you can shim the pipes with flat washers between the pipe mounts and the frame. also put a couple washers under the gastank to raise it up a little.

do you have any idea if youre frame is tweeked a bit?

id be willing to bet most of the pipe fitment problems people have are due to slightly tweeked frames.

Remember guys, he said FMF Rev pipes...they don't make them anymore and are fairly rare. Maybe they are quite a bit different compared to the fatties.

Beat me to it.
