Geoff Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 That big black plastic piece that has the lights and on/off switch kinda hits my new lever. Is there anyway to just eliminate it completely? Besides the issue above it would make the bars look alot cleaner. Thanks for any ideas guys Geoff Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 yes you can replace your kill switch with pretty much any after market switch... Polish uses a CR 250 kill switch on his and has the light to stay on permanently.. Quote
Geoff Posted November 9, 2006 Author Report Posted November 9, 2006 alright man I'll ask him about it. Thanks Quote

charles Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 I took mine off and connected the wire toqether, the light always stays on but it work fine!!! Quote
Malott 1 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 On my stock frame I removed mine and used my tether to kill the motor. I put a waterproof toggle switch under my seat so if I was riding at night I would just flip the switch and my lights where on anytime the bike was and during the day I just turned the switch off. Geoff Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 F.A.S.T 1, So is it possible to put a toggle in place of the on/off switch also? I was just talking to my dad about this the other day, hiding them up inside the plastic.....around the tank or something like that. Is your waterproof toggle enclosed or is it just coated in something to make it waterproof? Used normal toggles but few and far between, never waterproof one though. Thanks Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 just use a cr 250 kill its a small round botton on the bars... and use the toggle under your seat for the lights.. i dont know about you but i wouldnt want to reach to kill my bike... assumming you dont just pull the brake and pop the clucth to kill it.. Geoff Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 I don't know jack about motorcycles....so how do you turn the bike on if you switch it over to just a push button kill switch. I know that sounds dumb but I've never messed around with a bike. Baby steps man,lol Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 you just kick it over to start it and when you want to kill it you push the botton to break the circut ... Quote
Geoff Posted November 15, 2006 Author Report Posted November 15, 2006 Thats simple enough, I was thinking too much. Thanks Quote
r/atvshee Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 cr250 switch huh? I've wanting to get rid of that and just replace it with a dirtbike killswitch but i didnt know if any would work or what and just pick a switch from autozone to work the lights  Quote

Thanks The switch I had under the seat was like a regular toggle switch but it had a rubber cover that slid over the switch to keep water from getting in. At the bottom it actually had a nut that screwed on to the switch to hold the rubber sleeve down over the switch. Quote
