easyrider470 Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 What's new fellas? Just wanted to know who has experience with shops in the San Diego area doing motor work.......i want to find a good shop, where i can put my head together with the owner and the techs there and make some serious power. I want to stay local to the Saqn Diego area...not interested in traveling to far for this type of thing.....wanna be able to get it right the first time and have it tuned right......catch my drift......tough to find a great shop who wants to interact with the customer out here......not like small town U.S.A. where i'm from....... Quote

Ride Red and on 3 Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Give Allen Fox a call at Fox Engine Works in Alpine, he does good work 619-445-1415 Quote
FireHead Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 (edited) I don't want to bash them too hard on an open forum, but I have had lots of trouble with Trinity lately. Trinity is great as long as you know enough so that they don't bullshit ya and sell you a bunch of crap you don't need. :baseball_bat: Edited July 16, 2006 by FireHead Quote

I cant vouch for his work but my buddy is really happy with the work that was done. Local builders can be great or they can suck, never be afraid to mail your stuff out to be worked on by a reputable builder, call Jim @ Passion Racing or Jeff @ F.A.S.T. Quote
hill43 Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 I say just take it to the quys at Duncan Racing they have been doing banshees as long as any one. Quote
Bansh88 Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 I've heard tons of good stuff about Kurtz. Duncan, in El Cajon/Santee, of course. Supposed to be pricey but you get what you pay for. I know people who have used Allen Fox in Alpine. Love him. Quote
FMS50 Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 As someone already said Trinity is pretty good but you need to make your own decisions on what you want when you go in there or you will end up buying everything with their name on it. I would recamend Denton Racing in Riverside. They have some pretty quick bikes and they are easy to talk to. I went in there a week ago with a friend who recamended them to me because they built his Banshee and its been pretty reliable as well as fast. But my main suggestion is to call a few different shops and see who listens to you and who you feel comfortable with. Quote
easyrider470 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Report Posted July 14, 2006 Cool.....tons of good advice. I appreciate you guys helping a brother out. I accually called Allen out in alpine at Fox racing.......Great guy to talk to and was able to make me feel good about taking me SHEE out to him. He said he's been doing this for about 26 some years.......comes second nature to him....haha anyhow hell of a guy and after the Shee get's "seen" i'll let you guys know how it turns out........thanks again fellas!
