digger Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 u'r pipes are going to be blue... thats normal mine turned blue the first ride like a foot from the motor is blue... if they arent blue u'r too rich and it wont perform as good Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 I have polished the blueing out of mine and it comes right back. I know might jetting is dead on too. Just the nature of the beast. Quote

No signs of running lean, maybe a tad rich. Quote
dawarriorman Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Go buy yourself some white high temp paint. Then coat the hell out of the inside of the pipe. It shouldn't blue at all afterwards. Quote
crazybluerider Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Like everyone is saying blueing is normal but if one pipe is blueing morethan the other you may want to lean out the other cylinder one jet size or richen that side one jet Quote

I would think that both carbs need to be jetted and tuned the same. Hence the need for carburetor syncronization. Quote
Mr.Giggles Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I bought a set of t-5 about 5 years ago used and they had no bluieing on them at all and as of today there is only some slight goldish colour on them ,wether the t-5's have more chrome or what I don't know,my thoughts were if they are blue your too lean(hot) Quote
ssanddemon Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Depends on the type of riding you do. Woods doesn't require a lot of WOT time so the pipes don't get that hot. Duning (especially in the steeps) will heat those pipes up even if your carbs are just right. Quote
