csrmel Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 what would be youre top 5 upgrades for a stock banshee. keep in mind that different people have different riding conditions, a duner would opt for some paddles and extended swing arm, a trail rider would not want paddles or extended swing arm. a dragracer wouldnt want the same things as a flat tracker, so please keep the recomendations very generic that can apply to most people. brad Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 1. change/ adjust the suspension set up to suit your style and weight. stock adjustment is not the best it is just very middle of the road 2.re-jet it it will run better 3.nerf bars they make riding safer 4. air filter change dual foam ao k&n 5. expensive but get some pipes Quote

dajogejr Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 1. Pipes 2. Air Filter 3. Tires 4. Timing Plate 5. TORS Removal Adjusting your suspension is free...just time consuming. This list is on a lower budget...2, 4 and 5 are less than 150 bucks...very inexpensive and possibly the best bang for the buck after pipes. However, if budget isn't an issue (lucky you) aftermarket suspension is higher up the list... After my buddy T5'd his bone stock 98, removed the TORS and K&N'd it...he bought Razr2's within 2 weeks... Stock tires are bad enough...pipe your shee...forgetaboutit.... Quote
Justintoxicated Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 (edited) 1. filter2. pipes 3. suspension 4. tires 5. TORS removal 512294[/snapback] x2 Only for me. 5. Disconnect Parking Brake, new clutch lever, Disconnect Tors (removal is extra) Air filter is definately first Unless you don't mind blowing up your bike on the first trip, or taking your chances. Too many people have problems and destroy their motors to skimp on cash there. A friend of mine wasted his motor on the first trip on a brand new banshee when the filter slightly came off and he sucked in a large grain of sand. #3 is pretty big, but hey you didn't give us prices.
