Ok here's my question ? I live in West Virginia so you could imagine what kind of terrian we ride in ! Muddy , Rocky , Dusty , you name it we got it ! I've riddin for years and nobody I've ever riddin with has removed the front fenders ! But it seems like everybody on here is just assbackwards ? I would like to remove my front fenders but I was wondering ? Do you get a face full of rocks , mudd ect? I just kepp imagining going down a back road and gettin a rock stuck in my melon ? So what do you all think ? Cut it ? Or not ? Thanks in advance... :D

ive never gotton hit by a rock. i did get a lot dirtier after cutting the fenders, but getting dirty is half the fun of riding. Cutting the plastics give u a tiny speed increase but a lot more visibility down by your a arms/tire/shock. id cut em

you stay alot cleaner and drier with your fenders on, but on long open fast trails you lose some top end and stability. the front end gets lite after about 60-65 mph.

Your kidding right? do you really think there is enough aero-dynamic forces to make the front end light at this low of speed? The fenders dont even have a lifting shape. Drag yes lift no way...

on all my 250r's and my banshee, before the fenders were cut, racing on the pavement the front end would be lite and wonder. after cutting them it was more stable above 60-65.

no I'm not kidding.

If you ride in tight spaces it is reallly nice because of the visiblity around the front tires. Yes you will get a little dirtyer. I dont think i could go back to having fenders.

All of my buddies cut there fenders (banshee, 2 250r's, lt500, 450r, yfz450, 400ex)

I cut my fronts and rear just to try and give the Shee a little bit of personality. I think it looks pretty good and as far as getting dirtier....so far not the case. I don't know why but I didn't get any dirtier with the fenders cut riding in the same conditions as with the fulls. The ultimate reason behind race cut fenders is drag and fatigue over a long GNCC/Hare/XC race. The more mud that collects on the fenders the heavier the quad becomes and the heavier the steering gets. Factor in about 1.5/2 hours of racing and your one tired bastard by the end of the day.
