  1. A little over an hour and its on reserve.......
  2. You are soooo wrong, the last 5 Banshees I have bought in the crate and assembled myself. And the point was the FIRST RIDE I wouldn't trust any of the dip-shits throwing together bikes for dealers. It may be different back east but out here the dealers pays a warehouse to store the bikes and put them together, many don't speak English
  3. Dosent everybody? Thats why I have a hoist in the hanger  I agree that it should have been done right, but you really should check yourself a banshee can hardly be compared to a car....
  4. That's a great theory but unfortunately there are to many shitty dealers out there Anyone who buys a Banshee should have enough sense to go over every nut bolt and screw before the first ride, It only takes a few min. If he would have done that then he wouldn't of taken the chance of breaking his neck, or doing damage to his bike. He also could have been out riding instead of wondering what he can get for free while they half ast his bike back together.
  5. You should kick yourself right square in the ass for not checking it over completely before you rode it...........
  6. I am Back....sure is good to see how he site has progressed, lots of new members. Would like to know what most are paying for dyno runs. Jeff is sending me some 39s for the cub should be here next week. OTS
  7. I am suprised none of the builders have jumped in here. When I built my cub I had to recut the domes a bit, if memory serves me I ended up with .036 I didnt like the .024 it was but that dosent mean I was right. I am sure someone else will jump in
  8. I have used Klotz for years and have had no reason to change
  9. You will need to use your original studs. Jeff will hook you up with 2 stud extensions. You will be having fun in no time
  10. Just like me to mis out on a party!!! Happy Belated Birthday stay clear of those twisters
  11. Quit snivelling the gas prices in Nevada are so high our Blue Book values change depending on how much gas we have in the tank...$4.78 for Av gas.
  12. Sounds like its time to pressure test your engine
  13. My pipes have always turned blue. I like to see it but just a little When the mixtures just about right you create enough heat to turn exhaust blue 1150 degrees you can also be lean and have a lower exhaust temp but a higher internal temp, can you say burn holes in pistons...most of the big dogs prolly run lean enough to just be on the ragged edge of piston failure. And then there is alky that spews the extra fuel. Its my opinion that the average two stroke guy runs on the rich side and that as well, will keep the pipes from turning blue and did I mention save your pistons from those little expensive holes.
  14. its simple really, how fast can you afford to go!!! Where is the runway?
  15. I think I want to take a couple weeks off and go east. I cant believe how much cheaper Banshees are back east compared to the west. But my luck there wouldn't be any for sale once I got there.
  16. The crankcase and transmission are separate, your not draining oil out of the crankcase by removing the drain plug. If I understand you correctly you may be assuming this. When you say the oil is coming out the overflow where exactly do you mean? I would think if there was a lot of poured oil in the crankcase it would have hyd locked. Or do you simply mean that oil got into the coolant and has been forced into the radiator overflow. If you had it bored what was the original problem? Did you pressure test the engine after you were done? It could be as simple as a plugged vent that isn't allowing the pressure inside to equal the pressure outside therefore pushing the transmission oil out. And your other concern is as, Loco said you need to drop down on your pilots for your loading up at idle.
  17. I have had several discussions with the folks at Toomey about altitude, Know one ever talks about density altitude which can be a huge daily difference here in the west. You for sure want the airbox vents I like the 2 in 0ne filter better but thats not what you have. I put your same kit on my wifes machine last year, It took 290s on the main. Once the jets are right for a std day, Instead of changing jets when the temp changes, we adjust our amount of oil . It has work for me for about 30 yrs of two stroke operation. More oil in the hot weather less oil in the cold.
  18. I have had several Banshees with various pipes including a couple of T5s, some have ran well on the stock needle and others have not. Once you get your pipes on you will be able to tell. Let the Fun Begin
  19. Poured oil in the top of the case???? And where did he think this oil was going to go?
  20. Your best bet would be to take you girlfriend sailing...no sense spending the $$ until you have enough to do what you really want.
  21. If this is true why ask, just go for cubs. You don't need new carbs with cubs until after your buddies spend all there time and money to keep up, then go buy carbs and start the process all over again
  22. I thought you said old...My first truck was a 1949 Chevy 5 window
  23. Wow now that your famous, I bet you could print some of those classics and sign them 215/10,000 and sell them for big $$$$ congratulations
  24. Wow that seems like a lot of work, cut splice etc. Just hook one wire to ground pull off the orange wire on the coil put a double end on it, and plug your kill switch wire right on it. No cutting no splicing takes all of about 5 min.
  25. It equalizes pressure in the transmission housing with the outside world.
