400rednEX Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 if you like to do a lot of turning while riding you might like the v paddles better, i have the skat trak edges and like them. i also have a set of kenda trakkers if you want a set of cheap paddles. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 what are the best and afordable paddle for a stock banshee with pipes and how many paddles should the tires have I like to climb hills I will be riding in oregon dunes thanks 465316[/snapback] best and affordable, i'd say sand stars. there a great all around and not as costly as skat traks.if your going to do more than pipes, i'd get extremes$$$ Quote
courville69 Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 i've got some slightly used 20-10-10 8 paddle extremes if you want them with rims.Make me an offer Quote
shanYE west Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 If you looking for a cheap paddle I like the GBC sand devils, Staight blade design gives decent hook up and it has good turning ability. Givin its no where near the quality or as good as the skat-trac its also no where near the price. I think there like 110.00 on rims. Compared to 170+ on rims for the skat-trac's Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I had a set of sand devils 8 paddles on douglas rims, hooked up great on my bike with pipes and I could climb any hill that I tried, ride great wheelies with them. Definately a good tire for the price. Quote
korndawg Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 (edited) I tried the 8 paddle sand devils, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on them. They are alot cheaper than the skat-traks, but you are getting exactly what you pay for. They don't hook up near as hard as the skat-trak haulers or the extremes, and the paddles also don't last nearly as long. Right now, I'm running the 20-10-10 extreme 10 paddles, and am very pleased with them. They corner decent, and they hook up like nothing else. Edited January 28, 2006 by korndawg Quote
Ducman Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 best bang for the buck and best all around tire for playing in the dunes are sandstars IMO. If you get some port work and a longer swinger later on you'll want some skat-traks. Quote
AZ Olie Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Sand Stars- 20x11x8 mounted on 8x8 rims for the rear and 21x7x10 on 5x10 rims for the front. They work GREAT and they won't break your wallet. Quote
Bansh88 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Sand Stars are fast becomming the No1 tire in Glamis. Little bit cheaper is the GBC Sand Shark. Its a Sand Skate ripoff but does well and cost little. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 for general riding and dickin around and turning id go with itp sandstars. for more straight line haulin id prolly run a 9 paddle extreme hauler... Quote
MDS2106 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Do it right the fist time and get some skat -traks,every other sand tire is inferior Quote
