squish Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 Hey here is my old wiesco with a namura piston paired with a pin going through them. Look at the difference at the window placement. whats up with that? Quote
dawarriorman Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) Im pretty sure the Wiseco is in the same place as stock, but now that I think about it, I can't remember when in the stroke the window is matched up with the intake. With the window placed higher up in the piston, it would be fully uncovered lower in the stroke (possibly only at the bottom). I would think that wouldn't be as good. With the window lower, the piston has started traveling upword, and begun to pull negative pressure in the crank when the windows are fully uncovered. All speculation though. The more I think about it, I think one would be more friendly towards high rpm, but not really sure without seeing them in the cylinder. Edited December 6, 2005 by dawarriorman Quote
Shee-Male Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 I dunno man, your sure they're the right application? Quote
fast500#12 Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 i am runnnig the namura's in my bike and they work pretty good. i can't tell you a performance differance because my bike was stock before and now its got a pretty agrresive port job. all i know is it rips. Quote
2twin350s Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) by moving the ports they alter the duration of fuel flow into the cylinders. hence that is how they get the power piston name. they work well. i run them in both my shees and i have over 200 hours on them. no problems. put them in and enjoy Edited December 6, 2005 by 2twin350s Quote

2twin350s Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 well i would say, a better low to midrange hit. they claim to boost 4h.p. in the midrange. but then again, my bikes are all setup for low end like i said i have run them 2 years now and no problems. Quote
Shee-Male Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 would these be the same set up as the vito's power pistons? Quote
dawarriorman Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 I believe the vitos pistons cut the deck of the piston on the exhaust side, which basically is like raising the exhaust port. Quote
2twin350s Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 would these be the same set up as the vito's power pistons? 446207[/snapback] they are a knock off of vitos pistons. i think the vitos are a little better Quote
crank67 Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 (edited) looks like vitos power pistons . they move port timing with higher intake holes in the piston this is good more hp. abought 3 to 5 more . horse power. they look like good pistons never heard ov that companey name . are they cut off on xsost side?????? if so you will love them...... i got a set vitos power pistons board 100 over in my bike and i pound the shit out ov it and it runs great .. hase for 2 years now knock on wood..... sorrey abought last garbeld up mess my son tried to answer your question for me and i could not even under stand it my self Edited December 11, 2005 by crank67 Quote
