i wanna use my banshee on the streets when it snows.......what else other than studing the tires should i do??? And what should i use for studs??

Some people use sheet metal screws to stud the tires and they work pretty well. Real studs work better. I like running without studs, seems funner to me.

i think i saw worktrucks in alaska on tv that had 8 foot wide tires man , so i guess lower and more coverage on ground would be best

i would say it depends on what you plan to do. if you want good traction low pressure and studs would be the way to go. if you want to have some fun run your tires at normal pressure and just stud the front so you have good control

If your gonna run on the roads covered with snow, I wouldn't waste good studs, just run sheet metal screws into some older tires. Your gonna loose some of them especially if you hit clear surfaces anyway, it is a blast. You will loose the screws also when riding off road due to rocks and roots, just warn anyone riding with you that they may get roosted with a few. Not too many people are gonna want to stay on your tail anyways. Even with screws, it's a good lesson in controlled sliding when off road, on ice, it's just plain fun. Guys without screws will just be sit'n and spin'.

I've never even thought of riding on the ice till I saw this post. Now we are all thinking of screwin our tires and heading out to the resevoir this winter, settin up some cones and doin some racing!

Paddles might work good for snow, but adding screws would be hard. I use 22" Spider Tracs, plenty to screw into.

paddles work good, but freeze and get brittle, i ran paddles a few years back and the next time i rode sand , they all snapped off.went in with haulers, came out with slicks.
