vitovito240 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 hey everyone ive got a question for you im going to buy some beedlocks for my banshee but cont know what type or size for front and back? i really like the hiper beedlocks but let me know what you think. oh ya i do mostly tril riding w/ jumps Quote
Meat Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Its BEADlock. And Hipers rule. I got a full set and love em. I had Champion beadlocks and they're cheesy lookin compared to the Hipers. The only other beadlocks that I'd recomend are the Douglas Ultimates\Shamrocks. Quote
Tim C Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) I got OMF's scalloped beadlocks and they are very nice Link to picture of beadlocks: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...&cmd=si&img=475 I wouldn't get 8" wheels unless your planning on running 18" tires - go with 9" or 10" they look better and there is a bigger selection of tires available for them Edited December 1, 2005 by Tim C Quote
Quadracer18 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 if you do go with hypers be sure to make sure you arent stuck with the 9 inch models from recently, they have a recall on the because the rear hubs cracked. Quote
Meat Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 OMF's scalloped beadlocks I forgot about those, they're a nice beadlock too . Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 i have hipers on my 450 and i like them a lot..those omf ones look sweet too.. Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Hipers kick ass!! I've got 10" fronts and 8" rears. I don't think you'll have any problem finding tires for 8" rears. The smaller 8" rim will let you play with the sidewall flex a little bit more because of the bigger side wall. I personally like the look of the 8" rear beadlocks, but I don't think I've ever seen 10" rears in person before. The OMF scallops and Shamrocks are pretty damn good lookin' too. But I wouldn't like polishing them to make 'em shine. Quote
1.6i Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Just wondering, off hand where is a good site to buy some beadlocks? I've tried searching a bit, but came up empty handed.... Quote
odaen Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 there are a couple ebay stores that sell them pretty decently priced. like 349 for fronts and 379 for rears. Quote
Tim C Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) I bought the OMF beadlocks from Magic Racing ($179 each - $149 for the 8") )but i don't think they sell Hypers Link: http://www.magicracing.com/home.asp Edited December 1, 2005 by Tim C Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 No "Y" in Hipers 443624 eat at the Y!! Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 if you do go with hypers be sure to make sure you arent stuck with the 9 inch models from recently, they have a recall on the because the rear hubs cracked. 443435 That was last year's 9" model, and they had an unconditional replacement for the billit center section - no questions asked cracked or not... I ran 9x9's dual bead lock on the rear and 10x5 single bead lock on the front - Hipers and they were awesome, never gave me any issues. Quote
slimeball Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I have itp beadlocks and they do the trick but aren't as pimp as the hipers Quote
crbanshee Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 there is a problem with hipers though....they dont bent the shatter...you can get back to camp or home on a bent rim...but i have seen the hiper shatter and all the sudden your shee is a 3 wheeler Quote
