yamahanut98 Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 dude i never had one bit of pain and i didnt take my hydrocorodone, just used ibuprofin and save the good stuff for later, i went in they gave me an iv and i watched the lights and it was like a cartoon circle like at the end of the show boom i was out next thing i know i was trying to walk down stairs and told the doctor i could do it even though i couldnt even hold my own head up let alone walk, went home slept next day i was eatin tacos and wakeboarding... just dont drink outa a straw Quote
rocketboy Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 it greatly depends o n the size of the tooth and your age ,thats why dentists prefer yo uhave them extracted while your young i had 3 taken out whe n i was like 19 i thought " no big deal " i didnt eve n swell too bad ,but recently i had t o have the 4th taken out at 27 and it was a huge large full grown impacted wisdom toot h . i wasnt expecting any prolonged pain .but after the novacaine wore off i was like" holy shit this severley hurts" eve n 2 weeks later for me good luck darvesets,vicadin , and naproxen sodium did nothing for m y pain Quote

stuntmasta3o5 Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 lol I had 4 taken out, You won't feel any pain when their doing it to you, all you will hear is the drilling in your mouth and shit, but when your in the car and the doctor has perscribed you that drug, get the freak over to CVS and get it A.S.A.P. Seriously, once that novacaine wears out you'll be in so much pain, I was I nearly broke the window to my moms car when she was driving me home. Oh, and ask what drug your gonna get, I got Perkecept ( spelling but I don't give a shit) and man, 2 pills and I'll be out a day . The older you are, the longer it will heal. It also depends on how well you heal. Trust me when you get out your going to be spitting out so much blood and your gonna have cotton stuffed in your mouth. Oh and you probably won't chew anything for like 2-3 weeks, no lie, I couldn't eat ANYTHING, not even soggy vegetables in a soup. But hey, do it for the drugs.. Quote

If they can just pull it without cutting your gum and such, then it's not too bad. just had one pulled a few months ago, and it was no big deal. i thought the worst part was eating afterward, when you got that soft spot where the tooth was and food jabbing it, bleh, makes me nautious thinking aobu tit. wesw Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 go to an oral surgeon. they will knock you out, 3 hrs later you wake up and go home youwill feel like you drank a keg,but its not too bad 3 days of swollen jaw. i was so drugged up i went home and slept for 18hrs. Quote

The only thing that sucked was the IV anesthetic made me wanna puke all that day. 1.6i Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 If my wisdom teeth dont bother me or grow into my other rear teeth, do they HAVE to be pulled out? i have 3 ...they have never bothered me..The dentist rec'd i remove them so when i brush my teeth it'll be easier to clean back there....But i think he just wanted my money lol.. so I didnt.. what do you guys think? BURKE_DADDY Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 mine were coming in all funkered up sideways and shit i didnt get knocked out or an iv or anything like that. they did the worst one first then let me heal up and the other 3 came out weeks later.gave me hydrocodone ie vicodin lortab but i soon learned it was like taking sugar pills second time he gave me some percocet and it helped some but the dentists, atleast around here will not give very much in the way of pain pills i got 10 5mg percocets asshole i needed that per day let alone the whole week or so i was in pain and bleeding.mine were pretty bad and hurt like a mother.if i had to do it over i would go somewhere that would put me under while it was happing. that sucked sitting there awake while it happened. hopefully yours will go smooth and painless good luck Quote
