sj820 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 I am looking for a set of banshee pipes and I have been contemplating for two weeks now what to buy! I just got rid of a set of decent Pro-Circuit's. I just wanted something new looking. I was happy with the Pro-Circuits but wondering how the alternatives are. Also I just picked up a Ricky Sator 200w stator with the adjustable timing plate. What effects will I notice if I advance or retard the timing by 2 or 4 degrees. I ride on roads and long flat railroad beds, some gravel pits. I want a pipe that improves the power over the whole band but would like to stay away from an inframe "drag style" pipe. Mods are listed below. Also provide any suggestions to help make this a reliable ripper! Thx!!! SJones Mods: Noss Cool Head w/21cc domes, V-Force 3's, 28mm Kiehin PWK's w/ K&N pods. Just had the motor bored 30 over and I had the intake ports roughed up a little and the exhaust ports opened up a little. No major port work was done. Just spent mad dough! Looking to spend more! jjfizzle51 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 i personally love my toomey- t5s but they are a more top end pipe i heard that the fmf fatties were good low, medium, and top end pipes so if i were you i would get the fatties or even another set of pro circuits Quote
richybanshee Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Probably ProCircuits pipes were one of the best choices with the setup your shee has. T5's will look a lot better (chrome) and give you a more of a top end power while maintaning buttom end power and more future porting modifications. Go with T5's .. they look great chrome and performe better with mods and they are not a drag inframe pipe. Quote
mxbanshee Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 (edited) There really is only one pipe... No kidding, Trinity are by far the best. They put so much testing and engineering into there pipes it is not even funny. Just remember that any company can just come along and make some pipes out of metal, it does not mean that they have been designed, tested and engineered to the fullest extent. Come on... that's expensive. You know, trial and error kind of stuff to match a certain engine. Trinity puts in this time and money. -They are stainless so they never rust -Most horsepower gain throughout the powerband -Use high heat O-rings at the cylinder and along the pipe -Not chromed so you get heat marks close to the engine (looks mean) -No chrome to peel off -AMAZING crisp clean sound By far the best pipe! trail rider Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 I got bill's pipes on my banshee. I've not seen many shee's with them. I like them a whole lot. They sound and perform great and you can stand out from the crowd since it's not one of those pipes that everybody else has . I personally think there one of the best sounding pipes there is, and I've heard most of the other banshee pipes out there. When ever someone is ridin my shee, it gives me cold chills to hear that thing rip off in the distance Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 Just get shiney ones that's all that matters Quote

Looking to spend more! 351898 You just got rid of great all around pipes, and yes they will rev just as high as T5s and just as good but not chrome.Since you dont want in frame pipes, sound like you need to get another set of circuits to me. I do like my CPI s though. I have run CPI , Pro circuits , FMF fattys, Fmf gnarlys , Paul turner midrange. When you pipe a banshee it revs more so the spark system is not set from the factory for this, so you actually need to advance the timing 3-4 degrees. How much is a little bit on the exhaust ports. Just keep it jetted right, and good oil and she will treat you good. Quote
CowboyBanshee Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 I like my toomeys, I know my buddies with pro circuts and fmf's have both tried to get them from me. Quote
sheeweet Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 I like my T5's. Look beautifull and sound even better. Another pipe that sounds good for your shee is DMC Alien 916 pipes. Outstanding power throughout and all that other stuff too. Quote
fastbanshee4u Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 I like my toomeys, I know my buddies with pro circuts and fmf's have both tried to get them from me. 352266 That may be so ,but for 3 years I was never beat by toomeys at the circle track or the dirt drags . I have trophies to prove it. I dont mean to sound cocky , but I have built many banshees ,and yes toomeys are good and the better chrome. But toomeys are not the fastest by no means. Pro Circuit, CPIs, Rockets ,and Shears are all faster on a ported banshee. Quote
cam2 Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 if you want to spend the cash get a set of Trinity stainless steel pipes. "you will not find a better built set of in-frame pipes to date". i love the quality and the performance of the Trinity's. toomey's are good pipes, but to each their own. i've ridden bikes with T5's, T6's, and i had FMF SST's which are noted as being a good all around pipe but as far as i'm concerned the Trinity's are a better performing pipe than the other three that i noted. they come on sooner than the SST's and rev out longer. there is no doubt that they are better crafted. if you get them from Trinity you'll pay $700 unless they are still running a special on them for $560 which is what i paid for them. contact "rocketpig" to find out, he's a Trinity rep. if they're not running that special anymore then check ebay because they were going for $640 at one time, i believe. here's a link to some pics of my bike with the Trinity's, if you look closely you'll see that they are nice pipes although some of the pics aren't the greatest. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42344 Quote
. Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 If you want a pipe that will give you all the low end you want, pull as long as a top end pipe, have a nice smooth long powerband hit that if you ride in trails you can adjust where that hit comes on so you can ride in the sweet spot that gives you all the torque you can want........ GET SOME LRD'S I bought a second shee that had Fatty's on it.......needless to say it has LRD's on it now as well Quote
