So....I have a few college Students that live across the way...One of them has a 450R and wonders over to my garage and starts asking me about my Banshee..."What I have done to it etc..." Anyway he ends up telling me that he has no problem walking a Banshee with setups similar to my own..."FMF Pipe set, K&N, V-Force Reeds, 15-41 Sprokets & proper Jetting..." My Banshee is running great...Could not be happier with the results of my few mods.

Anyways, I never argued or challenged the kid...BUT I have a hard time believing him walking me...Keeping up maybe...Walking??? BTW...His 450R is bone stock...

depends on what you race on. if you race on dirt he will prolly get you out of the hole but you should pass him pretty quick if you got some good tires gettin traction. if you race him on pavement it will be no contest. just race him and shit his ass up, those 450r are weak you got nothing to worry about unless you dont know how to ride.

Well...Thanks for all the replies...The guys I ride with all ride BIGASS 4X4 quads with liftkits and shit...So I don't get to run with anything similar to what I have..

It will prolly take place on a Gravel road..."I live in Cowshit County"....There are alot of Gravel roads...haha...I can ride, so I think this is gonna be kinda fun to stuff in his face since he is the one talking all the shit...haha

im not sure how simlar a trx450f is to the yzf450, but i raced a bone stock yzf last week. The kid probably weighed like 155 pounds or so and im tippin the scale at like 210, i was burning tire through 3 gears on a wet road and he jumped on me till i grabbed,he spun in maybe 1st but as far as i know he had traction 100% of the time after that, once the tires hooked up the front end pulled off the ground and i literally passed the f*cker on two wheels.I hit 5th and he was a few bike lengths behind me. Theres a lot of hype between the 450 and the shee, i know 1st hand for myself that i smoked the hell out of that thing. I am a fairly experienced rider, im not sure about the other kid but the thumper was tacking out, i proved to myself that the hype was wrong, maybe you guys have had similar or different experiences

Dude, you should have no problem on the pavement, gravel I haven't tried. I raced a 450R and a YZF450 this weekend. I raced, they ate my dust! 5 straight before they finally shut up and quit making excuses! The best part was that my best friend (the 450R) handed me my ass the weekend before while my bike was bone stock, I couldn't hang through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but not anymore! He might get you off the line, but the race should be over by 3rd gear!

Hi all:

Please be careful on gravel roads!

Remember you just might need to stop. Gravel can be very slick.

In 2003, I broke my back in four places because it was too slick and I couldn't stop. I went off the road, the bike stopped on a small stump and I superman'ed - without the bike - into a roadside valley wall at about 45 mph.

PLEASE invest in a good helmet and chest protector. I wouldn't be writing this now if I didn't.

I have to admit...I am licking my chops now...hahaha

Bill...No worries...The rip of gravel road is dead strait really wide and pretty much hard packed Dirt...Also I never ride without a Helmet on any of my bikes street/dirt or whatever...Got all the gear and my bacons have been saved time and time again. Appreciate the concern.

Thanks for all the replies...I will report back.

If it is really bone stock, then you should be able to beat him.

If he has done anything like a cam or something, he will beat you. Unless you have some crazy mods done.

My buddy has a 450 with a pipe and cam in it. He can beat me by about 2 bike lengths at the sand drags.

We switched bikes and I beat him when he was on my bike.

That takes the rider out of the equation.

The new 4 strokes are fast bikes, whether we like it or not.

I might be getting me one to add to my collection. :bolt:
