Are you aware that Jim told my brother that this motor had TONS of bottom and midrange power?

Edit: Look, Im not here to argue with you or anyone else for that matter. Ive said everything Ive wanted to say, and I wouldnt have even said what all Ive said if you hadnt posted something after my "I agree" comment. I tried to clear myself up as best as possible. I thought that I was pretty clear about it. Also I dont see a "woods" port on the passion website.

cjm02ram, bump the needles up to 2 sizes richer on the diameter and up to 2 sizes richer on the taper. The motor should take gas better down low and smoother through the mid as well with your CPI's. I suspect your roosting all the way through and not hooking well...common problem, Screemin Banshee can direct you for proper suspension, bar and tire set up...Im not a chassis guy.

There are way too many combinations for a fix all but this is what Im finding

1) PWK 35 and 33 users need way more fuel in the low-mid and mid...see above

2) CPI and Rocket users same issue even moresoe than lower volume pipes such as FMF and Sheerer

3) PJ34 users not as much fuel needed in the mid on CPI's and Rockets but more than the stock needle provides 1 size up on diameter and taper will usually do it and Sheerer users on 34's may not need to change anything but the clip .

This engine likes air for peak power but needs fuel in the mid bigtime.

For you hardcore drag guys not concerned with budgets, 36mm Lectrons jetted way rich in the mid will reap an additional 1000 rpm and 6-8 more horsepower on CPI's and I will have additional info on Sheerers at a later date....Jim

i think ten of us said run a fucking 50 piliot but its still a 45?..........

man you are a joke. you think i didnt run a 50 pilot? i ran them all from 42 to 55. it ran better with the smaller pilots (42 to 48). so much for your 50 pilot theory.

redlined, my port was not a drag port. thats not what i had built anyway. and why cant we make a comparison between the gorr porting and passion porting when we had both kinds of porting to test? how come everyone claims to have all this low end power with their passion setup but i didnt and all the guys around here that have passion porting dont either? i dont think you have a clue as to what you are talking about. jim claimed his engine would produce tons of low end power. and BD claims his has tons of low end power, so why didnt mine? its simple, get your shit dynoed and let us know when the power really comes on. my bros woods port came on around 4000 to 4500. i highly doubt that your porting by passion will come on that low.

good thought, get them both dynoed with simular pipes and compare.

A cheap easy way to do this is to put a torque wrench on the rear hub lug nut and have someone sit on the handle. Hold the engine at an RPM with the clutch in and dump it. Start high on the torque settings working your way down until it clicks...this is how much torque your engine has at that RPM. HP can then me found from that. Let me know how it works

yea about 4000 to 4500 rpms. my bro(stclark816) is the one with gorr woods port. but i ride it alot and its pretty nuts for a $200 port job. my brother is actually selling his so u might talk to him or he might say something here. the dyno sheets we got from the builder are shitty. you cant see a fuckin thing on them but i saw it on the computer when the runs were over. sredish has gorr woods port too and i think hes sold on it. he loves it. you would love it for any type of riding. in the trails its fuckin badass, the power comes on so quick. and its a monster on the hills and if you want you can throw a 16 or 17 tooth front sprocket on it and it will easily pull them for a drag race.

ARe you guys running a stroker or just stock cranks? I'm even thinking about throwing my other cylinders on w/ stock porting just for the hell of it, but I need different pistons...

I pulled 57.5 HP on the dyno, I prolly coulda pulled more if I wanted to spend the money and tune it on the dyno, 100 bucks an hour just aint for me.

Im going to a 4mm stroker in the near future, with different porting.

I only had 51-53hp depending on the day w/ my old setup and loved it, just wanted a little more. I got the more, but hate the erratic curve. Especially the dip, I got a lot that worked out now, and need another dyno to see what the curve looks like, I'm guessing less hp , but smoother. Pretty sad for a stroker.
