What do you people think are the best chain and sprokets out. For reasons like what work the best and last the longest. :headbang:

I only buy the cheapest steel sprockets, like $14 for fronts and $17 for rears from RockymountainATV.com or MagicRacing.com, they work good and don't break you.

As far as chains, it's really preference. Typically, any decent oring chain with a breaking point of around 7,000 lbs or more will be good. I've been using a Renthal R3 oring for over a year, and the DIDs are good. Some people like this and some like that. Just find an oring that has a high tensile strength and fits your budget and you'll be fine. The gold outer links are pretty too.

I have had great success with Vortex spockets and RK chain that comes in kits. RK has a new chain that is specificially make for quads and works well. Try your local dealer and if they have no clue about this try Ftmbiz.com for more info.

P.S. My wife has been using her chain and spockets kit for three seasons in the sand with hard riding, yes she hauls ass and pushes me, I know I have a problem...

I' run the renthal R3 chain and sprockets as a set as have had very little streatch..For the price it should last a lifetime.. How many other people use armor all l instead of chain lube just on an O-ringed chain ?????????

What is the difference between the ATV 520 X-ring chain and 520 X-ring chain on rocky mountain? Obviously price, but why is one 98 and one 82? Is it because one is gold, they have the same information. Are you guys talking about the DID 520 X-ring? I need to buy a chain for my stock banshee. Is the size 520x104? Thanks

DID 520ZVM2 X-Ring

rated at 10400lbs

not sure if you can, but upgrade to a 530 chain and sprocket set. has anyone done this before?

They both say "8120 lbs. average tensile strength".

Doesn't have my size. I need 104, smallest is 110.

From what an earlier post said, 8k lbs is a safe bet for a Banshee, that has 7k. Probably not a big difference tho..
