If you take off to much material on it, it will for sure weaken the thickness of the wall. If the flywheel has microscopic cracks in the steel, it will be like a ticking timed bomb. Deadbeat Posted November 22, 2015 Report Share Posted November 22, 2015 when is somebody going to add some flywheel weight, dirtbike guys go the other way and add weight to trail/enduro setup 2s bikes and funnily enough they got better power to weight and less rotational mass to deal with it should help a higher strung banshee motor stay on the pipe especially in a woods situation could even help in a drag situation, you want to run a bigger tire but you dont have quite enough motor... 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is a line of dummy's who will be willing to tell you this is assanine. However in my experience, there is a shit load of truth to your theory there. I used to add weight to my trail bikes and remove the weight for the track. The weight made it feel like more of a 4 stroke I guess is the best way I can describe it.
