Couldn't a smart guy have done a leak down on this brand new motor to check the seals and found a gaping hole into the cooling circuit pretty quick before they filled a cylinder full of water and bent a buncha shit?

Yea 300 for a whole month to figure out a coil wire issue, and a bent rod. That's the shop you trusted to for the build.

Exactly! That was my 1st thought after reading the very 1st post. If the OP would have done a leakdown test on this brand new motor, the leak would have been found and cylinders sent back to Flotek. Flotek would have said, "Sorry, we'll take care of it". Then put repaired/replaced cylinders on, leakdown test, and no bent rod.
