Well your tapping a hole that's 1/3 steal 2/3 alum some were done wrong. Could I just drill, tap helicoil the hole straight on a Bridgeport mill? My father a machinist says that won't work. mailman Posted July 20, 2014 Report Share Posted July 20, 2014 You could try to loosen up the head studs so they wiggle a little bit. The head should drop right on then if they are only a little off. Banman1122 Posted July 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 21, 2014 Well eBay (trinity) did the jugs lol couldn't pass up 100 for the set. Crooked studs = 100 bucks. I fixed em and 4mil ported for trail/drag 80-85hp by hjr. I had to put the studs in after hjr sent em back. That's when i saw wtf studs!
