You're adding variables to my question. I'm talking same size.

I also understand the strength being stronger on a solid part, but sometimes a part that can handle some flex lives longer then a heavy solid part that would rather snap then twist. At least that's my minimal experience.

I didn't add any variable. I said if you keep the OD the same on a shaft and only add a center hole, the solid will withstand more force before failure.

If you keep the cross-sectional area the same, then hollow would be stronger.

Deleted variable part as you posted.

Makes sense though.

Ya, the hollow bar is bigger. This doesn't means solid is weaker when size is the same. Already stated that with same cross sectional area, hollow would be stronger because it would have a bigger diameter.

How did I know Zilla gona copy n paste. Multiple dimensions ads a dimension and can increase strength in certain designs/applications. Real world experience talk

JT, c’mon this is BHQ we all know real world experience doesn’t matter. Google and some computer program even say so.

Zilla & Claude, why is JJ&A drilling vs using tube...? It's more work, why bother with it, if they are making a weaker product?

Rotating weight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but JJ&A is gun drilling, correct?

I’m def not either but in tube form the process to make the tube makes it not as good of a choice due to less strength etc compared to solid material
