I have some atheana cylinders that are 68mm so I am thinking about having rob port them but I saw some cub cylinders on ebay. I want a trail bike set up. What do you guys think a better choice would be. Having rod port the atheana's or getting these stage 2 ported cubs?

For a trail set up idk if u will want a cub. I have a unported as cast cub, on and off pipe is like a light switch. Not the best for trails. idk to much on athenas. But i do know the servals are nice for the trails and all around riding. Might wanna check them out.

Why buy your cub on Ebay??  Most of the site sponsors on here sell them for the same price and they can customize it for your needs,,,Ebay cant do that.  A DECKED cub would get you closer than a STD cub,,,but might still be too much for trails IMO. Why not just buy a Serval?

I have The Athena's that Rob ports and calls his, they are drag ported and rock! The only reason I got them is because I got a smokin deal on them with pistons, domes and a head. I once called RDZ to have some porting done and he quoted me at $1000 for some stock cyls drag ported, so I'm not sure what you would be spending to have your Athena's done. Call around and get quotes from all the site sponsors, you can tell just by talking to them who you will want to do business with. Call RDZ also!

2nd question. someone suggested to leave the atheanas unported in my situation for a trail set up. would my port timing be messed up with them unported? I'm using blaster pistons with them

You can have them ported or at least cleaned up. Just gonna take the right guy to do it with out killing the bottom end of the power curve.

It should also be noted that you should have the domes set up for the blaster piston angle

i havn't tried every motor combo, but is there a cylinder out there better for trails off the shelf at 75 hp than a serval? if there is id like to here some info

Its just like cars.. U get to a point (or hp level) to where its no longer a street machine and is just for drag. Its hard tonhave your cake and eat it too.. Go with a serval or some stockers setup for your riding style
