I've never popped the top yet on a 5 gallon steel pail of VP C-12 thats been sitting in my garage

for about 6 months, enduring extreme phoenix heat btw.

I don't know if I should go ahead and burn it in the banshee or just use it for Sobe bombs? :woot:

I wondering the same thing. How long till it goes bad? I heard your never supposed to leave it on the ground though. the people where i get my vp they always say keep it off he ground. also how long is it good if it has been opened?

I fill my 55 gallon barrel and it usually takes a little under a year to burn. I dont notice any performance differences between the first fill up and the last fill up.

I dont think race fuel breaks down near as fast because it is a better quality fuel.

I guess fuel only goes bad if moisture get

6 mos. c 12 i would use it. gas degrades faster in plastic containers. you will be fine.vp fuels aren`t chemical soup like pump gas.

Since it was never opened it will be as fresh as it was 6mo ago. It's true that you should never store fuel in plastic containers or leave your cans on the ground or in the sun. If your running oxygenated fuels be especially careful how it's stored because the "good stuff" evaporates out first (and fast).

As long as it hasn't been opened it should be fine. The metal can the gas comes in can condensate under changing temps, but a little dry gas would fix that as an insurance policy. You should be okay using it.
