  1. For trails, I'd stay w/ a midrange pipe...Has awesome throttle response, and low end pull out of the corners, where you'll be clutching a lot w/ the high rev pipes to keep the power on the pipe....They are way more user friendly for that application and has more usable power w/ less tire spin...
  2. Buy a new cable.....
  3. Wrecked his new quad!!! Damn that sucks.....I heard Matty is undefeated w/ his new TRX450 and smoked your buddy Jon on the 370R....Looks like this Sunday will be nice....40 degrees out and sunny....!!!!!
  4. 290 mains, stock pilots, needle 4th clip from the blunt end, adjust air screws to your shees likings...( powerband response) let us know what you come up w/...
  5. Your mains should be determined by the plugs after a wot run in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds...They should be a dark brown color...tan is too lean, and black is too rich.....Try raising the needles one clip and go from there...The pc pipes definately like a richer pilot...Try a 30 pilot and adjust the air screws to the throttle response of the powerband....No one can tell you the air screw position, every shee is different in different areas....let us know what you come up w/..
  6. HOLY Shit!!!! Listen up and read post....60 or 70 pilot is waayyy to big....I'm running a 4 mil stroker and don't even run anything close to that size pilots....I'm running a 42, since the 45 was too rich....Put a 45 in there and go from there....
  7. Try a smaller pilot...many people go too rich on the pilots and loads the motor up at zero throttle, then when you open it up, it takes a couple of seconds to clean up. I'd go up on the mains, down on the pilots, and adjust the air screws...
  8. Take the lid off or cut the end of it (1.5"), that'll help a lot...how do you clean the air filter?? Start w/ 350 mains and work down from there, needles on the 4th clip from the blunt end, stock pilots, and adjust air screws....
  9. Stroker??? Did I say that???
  10. Get w/ it man!!!! I'd like to keep those carbs for a couple of more weeks Jimmy if you don't mind..We'll be dynoing the stock, yours, and some 33pwks from Walter to see how the stroker likes it and how the curve is moved. I'll also be trying some high rev pipes as well as the mids......But if you need them back sooner, let me know.....
  11. Have a friend that runs them and give them a rating of about a 9 out of 10... They are a great pipe and I like them a lot...I put them in my top 5 best pipes besides the Pt mids, fmf sst's, Dmc, and fmf golds...
  12. Try raising the needles one notch...Fmf pipes really like a richer needle and helps the low end a lot.....Do one thing at a time. Also try adusting the air screws....If your still not satified, then try a 27.5 and go from there....Might help or get worse, but you'll know....I haven't seen a shee w/ fmf like larger pilots yet, but there is a first for everything....
  13. Just dialed in a JKJK's shee at Dumont and ended up w/ 350 mains( which were border line of lean), needles in the 4th clip from the blunt end, stock pilots, and air screws about 2-2.5 turns out....stock needles, the toomeys weren't as good...
  14. I've tried that numerous times w/ no results.....the best and easiest way is to do time runs....We ran my cousins 400ex down a paved road for about 500'. Have one guy running the quad and the other at the finish line w/ a stop watch...Make 3 runs, change the main jet, run 3 more times. Take an average of the 3 runs and you will see about .10 seconds per jet size difference...Which is about a quad length...If your 5 jet sizes off, then you'll gain .5 second, which is huge....Good luck.
  15. I did a quick jetting on Yammahammers quad at Dumont w/ pretty much the same setup....300 mains, stock pilots, air screws 2.5 turns out, needles at the 5th clip from the blunt end if you have stock reeds, 4th clip if you have aftermarket reeds.....
  16. What kind of riding r u planning on doing?? Cause my pipes might be for sale soon. High revs or mids???? I'm thinking about some high rev headers to play w/....
  17. I'm going up to Dayton on the 21st...Whos going??? Engine is broken in now.... :flame:
  18. Damn, I hate riding in July in Maine because of the high humid heat, couldn't imagine PA and on black coal.....lets make this enjoyable and go early June or September.....
  19. You must have me confused w/ Yamahammer...I was the one w/ the purple and yellow shee w/ the mad eyes. Yamahammer had the yellow/black shee and selling the T's....
  20. hhmmm.....we got there first, left there last besides undubitably, took comp hill, started in the back of the pack and passed everyone to the front and more than once, slepted 2-4 hours/ night after a 60 hour drive to there, and for some reason, no one noticed your Great Party......oh well.....maybe you can come to Coalfest and show us up AGAIN....The hills actually have grooves in them and have a slope to them.....I hope you can go, we need someone to run the camera.....
  21. Got me thinking, I'm dynoing w/ the midrange pipes.....maybe I'll try some high revs on the dyno also and see if carbs will be different.....that'll cost some money on the dyno though......
  22. I'll be dyno testing some v-force reeds, stock carbs, 28's tapered to 30, and some 33's....That won't be until we get back from Dumont though.....
  23. PUll the air filter off and look inside the carbs, both slides should have the same gap and lift at the same time....
  24. Mikunis......I'd start w/ 350 mains..
