  1. With 20cc domes, depending on your elevation, you might want to consider 50/50 race/pump gas. Do a compression check for sure to check. I have the same domes and run 50/50. Might be overkill, but I don't mind. Plus it smells good.
  2. Not to rub it in, but Saturday morning, it was soooooooooooo smooth and wet. I have never seen the sand in a better condition. The riding over the weekend was absolutely AWESOME. I am going back again this coming weekend, hope it rains and blows again.
  3. Thanks buddy.
  4. Hey Lefty, How are things looking down there? What are they saying for the weekend. www.weather.com says wind tomorrow and the weekend should be perfect. What do the local weather guys say? Wind tomorrow would be perfect, smooth the sand out. Thanks dude, Linc
  5. That is why I live in AZ. Don't have to worry about that crap. Can ride the shee 9mos out of the year. And we are only 3 hours from the dunes.
  6. If you opened it up at all, i.e. bored out, you may need to rejet. Give us more detail on your bike setup.
  7. Whatever.... Don't listen to Toomey. They recommend 280s with T5s. I run 370s with T5s and my bike runs perfect.
  8. Sounds pretty close on the jetting.
  9. You might be close at 330. I run 370s and 30 pilots with the 2:1 air filter and my plugs are perfect. You might start at 350. Better to be rich than lean. I hope you are running race gas at 180lbs.
  10. Man Troy, you are in pretty deep it sounds like. You should be ready for next season at least right? We are going down 3 weekends in a row starting Feb 27th. Nothing like the dunes to break in your new motor huh? Just kidding Good luck. Linc
  11. I think you are lean on the mains and small on the pilots. I run 370 mains, 30 pilots, Toomey needles on the 4th position from the top and have the same reeds as you. My bike runs awesome and all I do is ride at Glamis. I have no porting either. I would try 390 mains and work down from there. Do the 30 pilots without even thinking about it. Hope you didn't burn it up running it like you did. Might want to do a compression check while you are at it.
  12. Ahh, the famous "top end it runs great" Perfect scenario for a lean bike. Only a matter of time and BAM..... motor goes. I would jet up on mains and pilots ASAP and don't ride it until you do. You also might have an air leak?
  13. 1st kick in the cold fires my bike up. I turn on fuel, pull out choke all the way, 1 kick and bam!!! I push my choke in right away. Bike sits and idles.
  14. Toughen up dude. These things have double everything. My buddies hurts on his raptor, we call him "Mangina".
  15. I third it! Although mine did come off once. I think because I over oiled the filter and it ran down and got into where it mounts. Too many bumps and boom!!! Came off.
  16. I run my banshee gas in my mower. It smells like my bike and makes me think I am at the dunes while I am mowing my grass. I just start moving by butt like I am riding the dunes and it brings a big grin to my face. Neighbors look at me kind of funny though.
  17. Me either!!! That is crazy.
  18. Ahhhh, another person that is not afraid to go big on the mains. What do ya think BenBB?
  19. Thanks, I will remember that. I was just following the instructions in Clymers.
  20. True that. I will meet at Pair O Dice. We do lunch there every Saturday when we go down. Good food.
  21. Thats funny dude. That is why I have an inline fuel filter. Aren't they supposed to catch "the big stuff?"
  22. I went w/ what Tommey recomended for sea level. Checked my plugs and everything is good. No time bomb here But ya, Im sure I will have to go up once the porting is done. Toomeys instructions are way off for anything other than the stock air box with a snorkel attached. I live at 1500' and didn't listen to their instructions. Good luck brother.
  23. No worries, I used gas that had been sitting in dump cans in my garage for 4 months, no problems at all.
  24. I will be at the other end of the dunes, Buttercup. Should be a fun weekend. I agree, the washes are no fun.
  25. Well, it turned out to be the stator. Probably replace the flywheel with a lightened one while it is apart. Thanks for the inputs.
