  1. Running Yamalube at 32:1, but switching to AMSOIL Saber at 80:1.
  2. Sounds like way too much air and/or not enough fuel. Look for plugged jets, plugged fuel line (not getting enough from the tank), float level and air leaks.
  3. Now that's what I like to hear! Function before form. Kick ass and then make it pretty.
  4. When I think of "trashed" I don't think of just scratches from getting on and off. If that's all, I think it's a good deal IMO.
  5. Check out the first post on this topic. He posted a picture there.
  6. When you ordered your arms did you tell them that you were running YFZ450 shocks? If not, do you notice them still being too long when you install them?
  7. Almost any auto parts store should have them.
  8. About a year or so ago we had a thread for sticking carbs that was really really long that tried to track all the reasons and fixes for the sticking carbs. See if you can find it. Basically it came down to the stock carbs just suck and if you go aftermarket the problem goes away. BTW, moookie132, where is the rest of the video that goes with that clip you play for your avatar? Come on, it's only polite to share.
  9. The stock carbs (not all of them) have a problem with sticking if you go through water. Most any aftermarket carb will fix the problem.
  10. I love mine. Wouldn't switch back for anything. Much easier to jet. Helps the low and mid a lot and I haven't noticed any loss on the top end.
  11. Has anyone thought about moving the lower a-arm mounts out a little ways? I'm not sitting right next to my ATV right now so I don't even know if there is enough room, but if there is this could help. Just a thought.
  12. No problem, I asked for opinions. It's a tough decision, cover the shocks for protection or leave them uncovered so they can be seen.
  13. Just so you know, I didn't mention anything about removing them. I was wondering how others felt about them being the only protection from dirt. It's quite clear by looking at them that they were intended to be on there, but it also looks like they were designed to help protect the shaft of the shock.
  14. Looks pretting nice. Considering all the goodies, including aftermarket suspension (although I'm not sure he knows what the brand is) I'd say it's a fair price. BTW, what's a White Bros Bootle? I wonder if it's more effective than a boost bottle?
  15. I just got a set of YFZ 450 shocks to put on my Banshee. I noticed that they appear to have built on plastic covers. Are you guys that have these using shock covers over the top or just letting the built in one do the work?
  16. I'd say in both your cases that the seals went bad. That means the oil the shock uses for compression and rebound dampening has leaked out. I've had this happen twice over the last ten years. All you have to do is have the shock rebuilt and it'll be good as new. Better if you have them revalved with an aftermarket valving kit. Some aftermarket shock dealers recommend having the shocks rebuilt once per year just as maintenance.
  17. Very nice. Did you make a stensil for that or did you free hand it?
  18. Cool, thanks for the info.
  19. DUNEDEMON, do you have replacement/heavier springs for YFZ450 front shocks? Is there such a thing?
  20. Have you sold these yet?
  21. When I went from a 88' to 02' I noticed that the brake line was also too short. The 02' brake caliper is mounted further back. Good excuse to buy a nice new braided steel line.
  22. Definetly Noss. Great working head and unbeatable support.
  23. How much for a rear brake line at +4 inches?
  24. You've got that right. Thieves suck!
  25. When I chose mine I went with the PRM because it looks like it would have much better skid protection.
