  1. That was actually quite interesting. Also quite depressing. I have to admire that woman's courage. Not to mention that she works on her own bike!
  2. I plan to run Amsoil 80:1 after I get done using up all the Yamalube I had left.
  3. Just to be sure, the one you're selling is the version 2.5 with the integrated USFS approved spark arrestor? How long have you had it?
  4. Another Dan here. Or Big Daddy if you're one of the ladies!
  5. I was wondering if anyone had one of these for sale for a decent price.
  6. Thanks for the info!
  7. I'm wondering if anyone has had a meter used on them while running Toomey T5's. I'm going to a riding area with a 99db limit and am a little concerned about passing.
  8. Mostly Snap-On and Craftsman. I have a few tools in other brands, but the majority are in Snap-On. I haven't broke any of them yet after many years of torture.
  9. My condolences to Brooke and this guys family and friends. I always hate to hear bad news like this. My rules: No Helmet = No Ride Any Alchohol = No Ride Anything (Medications)that messes with reaction and reasonable thought = No Ride Life is too precious and the ones who really pay are your family and friends.
  10. Silver or maybe have it chromed.
  11. What's being only 14 have to do with it? J/K I hope you weren't drinking. That is one thing I have no tolerance for. Drinking and riding don't mix! Don't want to sound like a dick, but most of us who are on these atv's are wild enough without adding something to cloud our brain functions. But other than riding or driving, CHEERS!
  12. I'm all for higher speed limits. Those limits were set when cars and roads were at a lower quality than now days.
  13. So, how friggin drunk were you to be riding in the dunes that fast after dark?
  14. Yep, lot's of good info there. I used to be part of their forum. Had a 1998 CBR900RR. If you look under 'Speedo Tweeks' you'll find an article written by me for the Yellowbox.
  15. Come on now, let's not be hurtful! J/K It's all right. It's all manhood! It's a good thing for custom shocks!
  16. Aw, you're just a lightweight. I'm 6'-3" (sometimes less depending on my mood) and 375lbs.
  17. When my wife had one it would move pretty good. I would say around 60mph. They are nothing compared to the Banshee, but they are still a fun two stroke! They don't cost a lot either. I wouldn't be ashamed to have one in my stable again.
  18. Let us know if he listens. And if not, get pictures of the carnage!
  19. A really hot pipe is usually caused by a lean condition. Better rejet to a larger jet soon.
  20. I don't get it. J/K
  21. Mine is in two parts. When I was a kid I used to like a cartoon called Dungeons and Dragons. My favorite character was the ranger. I also drive a Ranger pickup, so that is where the Ranger part of my name comes from. The first part comes from playing Starcraft. I wanted a cool screen name and Ranger was already used so I appended Dark (like the Dark Templar) to the beginning, hence Dark Ranger.
  22. What can I say? You're a hell of a guy!
  23. Going to a taller sprocket on the rear would be gearing down. If you are hitting max rpm's then gearing down will slow you down. Now, if you didn't have the power to reach peak rpm's in 6th you could gear down a little and actually speed up because your ATV could wind out.
  24. First of all, tire growth at high speeds will definately affect it and the only thing you can do is add a little to the height of the tire when making your calculations. You will never be perfect for all speeds (unless you go to GPS), but you can make your average speed more accurate. As for using the resistor plugs, they certainly would help if it were an interference problem. The resistor is put in the plugs to keep your plugs from messing up other electronics. Have you ever had an ATV or snowmobile drive by your house and screw up you TV or radio? That from plugs without the resistor.
  25. Cool, thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for. I kind of figured that was they way it is supposed to work.
