Sorry guys, this is my busy time at work, which you can probably tell by what time I'm responding to this. I still have the frame, and I still want to get rid of it. I just need a little warning if anyone wants to stop by to see it. I don't get to check in here much anymore, but emails are checked every couple of days. The title is not kept at my house, so I need to either know ahead of time if someone wants it, or the title can be mailed to you. Thanks Eric, life is beyond busy right now. How's life treating you? Thanks, Jay

Thanks NYUK. If anyone knows about shipping frames it would be you, so I will definately take your word for it. I hardly have enough time to even check this site, let alone ship a frame. I figured I would give someone a hell of a deal to eliminate all the hassle on my end. I really just want it out of the garage.

OBO

It has two extra little holes drilled by the grab bar. I believe it is straight, it looks straight and all plastics line up well. It has been hanging in my garage for over a year so I don't really remember much about it. It does come with a clear title, will need to be picked up. The steering stem is still installed and comes with it. It's a pretty clean frame, but not perfect. I really just need it gone.

Yes, it's true. No they are not an easy swap. They have actually become very sought after and expensive bikes. They are 4 cylinder bikes. I believe it was 4-125cc cylinders, tow reed fed, two case fed, four pipes, one down each side, two under the seat. Mean bikes.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I started this.

I saw it was closed as soon as it started to get ugly, move it to the Roostin Room if you have to.

Sleds are hit and miss unless you live in the snowbelt areas. Mine has pretty much sat for most of the winter next to it's other playmates, but it's snowing right now, so I'm hopeful for today.

I was more of a spectaotor on PS, didn't really add or ask much. But I WILL NOT go back. Charlie played his cards too quickly on this one for me. To go back would just warrant him doing something like this again. I guess I like to prove a point more than anything. Although I was/am nothing to the site, it's one less on their membership.

Tech II makes them for around $100 or you can go to a muffler shop and do it for $10
-
I've preached about the RZ cylinders on here many times, so I won't put you through it again, but with a little bit of added stroke, it makes a pretty mean but docile motor at the same time.
-
You can just go to a muffler shop and build your own flanges from around $10 in parts, or cut a $600 set(your choice). You will never really see what an RZ can do with T6s on there. Toomey built those to run good with stock port timing. RZ exhaust timing is closer to a dune/ pseudo drag set-up. Find a pipe that will let it rev higher and work with the increased port timing.

No sweat. You're right, typed sarcasm loses something doesn't it?

Mine says 52Y on it. I put the motor in to take advantage of the PV. Then I got the bug for some port work. I then wanted more so the 12port was next. While I was having the 12 port built, the 4mm crank was factored in. I then played around with quite a few carbs and pipes until I settled on the 32mm Lectrons and Rockets. I'm not too concerned with the heads beacuse this one was completely recut for the stroker and race fuel. I was just curious if more could be had with different electronics
-
Are any of the factory performance differences in the electronics? The reason I ask is I have an RZ motor in my Banshee that has had ALOT of port work and was curious if any more performance could be had with other electronics? As far as the pipes, Pro circuits will NOT fit with out a huge dent in the pipes. Rockets, both PTRs and a new unnamed pipe(contact Yaxy), are the only ones that will fit with no mods at all. Fun, worth it? You're a tuner, you know probably beter than any of us the answers to these questions.

I can tell you that the RZ really aren't that dirty that they need the powervalves cleaned often. I ran my old RZ motor for two years and it still looked good with a little carbon on the valves. I have a 12port 4mil RZ motor in my Banshee right now that runs pretty hard. It has a screaming top end and can still be ridden in the woods. The type of fuel and oil you use has more to do with the recommended PV cleaning than anything. Bad oil gums up quickly, which I'm sure you have seen first hand in you exhaust ports. My sled uses the same type of PV that the cheetah does and to me thise will gum up quicker, although I use the same oil in that and it looks like the day I bought it too.

I'll just take that with a grain of salt and laugh along with you. You are right, I don't believe CP strayed too far from his proven port timing when he Designed the CUB. I think for the smaller motors, the Cub works just fine. I don't see the big reeds of the Cheetah coming in to to play until you get in to the bigger(10+) strokes. I think for what this guy is looking for, the Cheetah might be the best place to look.

An RZ motor will have more HP and a smoother powerband than a stock Banshee. I stock Banshee will have less HP but a smoother powerband than a Cub. A cub will have more HP than both but hits harder, faster and more violently than either. If you can tell me where you found the Powervalved Cub, let me know. I want one. It would probably be easier if you tell us what and where you ride.

yfz450 rear shock and swinger conversion
broke replied to IROOST1's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I dont know if anyone has tried to fit a yfz450 swingarm, shock, and linkage on a banshee. I am going to give it a shot. Just wondering if anyone has tips, tricks, or experience with this. Good luck. I have locked at the rear of a YFZ and don't really see a better rear suspension to justify the time to make it fit. The rear end is not the downfall of the Banshee, the front suspension is along with the chain adjustment. You can do what you want it's your bike, but you can just buy a round house swinger and good shock to simplify things. I have heard Elka makes a better linkage also. the pipe is hand built with the in and out from the stock pipe of the shee . and the middle of a snow machine polaris rxl 650 pipe . this winter i buy parts for a complete rebuilt of the bike ( red maiers fender , +2 a arm , 3 elka shock , +2 durablue axle e.t.c. ) and i have idea to buy a set of shearer pipe ( no chrome ) and custom mod to fit my bike and after , go to the chrome shop .... Good job on the pipe, it works, that's the hard part. It's a whole lot easier to get a pipe built when you have a functioning mock-up already builtl. The pipe builder can make the cone anyway he wants, but it's hard to shape a pipe when they have nothing to work from. You have seriously simplified the job of whoeber builds the new pipe for you. It looks like a two year old made that pipe! fag. You just keep typing. That's all your illiterate ass needs to do to show your stupidity. That or post more pics of that bike You can't be this stupid. Just going by his location I am going to guess he's French Canadian. Which in turn would mean English wouldn't be his Primary language. Let's see you insult him in French, his English get's the point across. 27K for that bike? I'm jumping across the boarder to sell my 10 mil cub, it should fetch 50.... No need to start a pissing match. Truly one man's garbage is another's treasure....but those Raptor Plastics on a banshee have to go...seriously... I agree with the "one man's garbage is another's treasure" part. Somw people think I'm nuts for building my quad, but it is in fact MY QUAD. If you read close that's a YFZ450 with a Banshee motor. I will admit this thread has become increasingly hard to follow and htat was kind of easy to miss. It would cost me over 20k to duplicate my bike at US prices so I don't see 27k Canadian to be out of line. -
I have one with a title from a 99. I believe it's a perfectly straight frame, but you are welcome to come take a look at it. I am just SW of Joliet IL.
-
Okay but with a stock cyl? Those are stockers, with a little creative grinding.
