  1. I'm on the computer mostly. I like building pcs and gaming. Also like working on my friend's raptor. I love it when he wrecks, gives me an opportunity to tear it apart and learn on something other than my own bike. I call that "ride security"... if I f*ck his up, at least I still have mine to ride!!!
  2. Lol, harsh evil, but damn true.
  3. That's an idea there. Some people might freak out though seeing their IP address on a public forum. I wouldn't mind, IP addresses are easy enough to get anyway. bigboybanshee.... I understand what you're saying completely.... I was rushing myself when I posted that. The point I was attempting to make was that what one person finds annoying, someone else finds interesting... there's no way to either leave a post alone, or delete it without offending a lot of people. I just see it as it's in the correct section, so why remove it if it's not harming anyone other than the people who feel it necessary to make a snappy remark.
  4. To tell the truth, there's not much that can be done except warn someone about excessive questions in the general section. I'll admit, I get tired of seeing the same questions worded different from the same person, but deleting them won't do any good. Now if it was a question such as the thread asking how to keep the quad from tipping, and it was in the images, then I would see moving it to general as a solution. General is for the genuine bs'ing (questions that don't relate to any other topic), and the Roosting room is for the more serious BS'ing (who's stupid, who's not,.... who talks the talk, but can't walk the walk, etc...). If there's a stupid question in the general section, or any other section.... don't read it.... no one's forcing anyone to read every single thread or post.
  5. That's sick... but whatever floats your boat.
  6. I used some high heat engine block paint with a clear coat over it. It's held up well with no problems what-so-ever. However... I'll be getting them powder coated soon.
  7. I'd use either wood, or the metal with plexi-glass. Do a frame out of the metal or wood, and make the main panels out of the plexi-glass. It's easier to clean that way and you won't have to worry so much about fumes from the metal. The plexi-glass shouldn't warp or crack under the heat of just the heating pad. My friend has a full shelf unit he built in shop consisting of 5 cages, all using wood and plexi-glass.
  8. LMAO!!! Definitely can't forget that reverse lever. I didn't find any of it offensive TX... actually thought it was funny. I too don't like seeing multiple posts about the same thing by the same person, or various people when a little searching could have been done. I don't mind that someone asks the same question if it has been a while since the last time it had been asked. I do know that for a 56K user, the search option can be hell. I have DSL and it still takes a bit if there's been a lot of topics on a certian subject.
  9. I haven't raced any other banshees yet... just my friend's raptor and another friend's EX. I have only been beaten by the raptor, mostly due to traction... too much or too little. He's beat me once due to popped it in neutral running paddles in sand. Just don't have the HP to do consistant 2nd gear starts in sand without bogging.
  10. Cool... Try Stan a.k.a. Cotten Eyed Joe. He may be able to fassion up something in billet for you.
  11. Ummmm.... just in case you didn't notice.... banshee rider95 wasn't talking to you.
  12. It was probably referring to the warrior seeing as how it's in the 350 class.
  13. Lol!!! I never even caught NYUK's new sig... thanks for pointing that out.
  14. I read something too about the absence of the name, but can't remember where I read it at. But it was along the lines that fixitrod stated, the 450 is setup for racing right out of the box, therefore they didn't name it. Woulda been nice if they did... I always get the YFZ and YZF mixed up.
  15. Maybe the rider is blind and deaf.
  16. I wasn't lucky to every own one as a kid. I rode my friend's utilities some during middle school, but never sat on a real quad until high school when my friend let me ride his 01 shee. Even for just putting around in 1st and 2nd, knowing that the power band was a hair squeeze on the throttle away had my heart racing. After hitting the power band a bit hard and rolling his, I was in love, so I set out to purchase my own. First quad I've ever owned, and damn happy that it was a banshee. Couldn't start out better.
  17. That's what I did... and I like it better than the stocker. It allows a fuller kick than the stock did. Can't remember the brand right off the bat, but I want to say it's either Nac's or Mac's.
  18. Still looks good as green though. How did you mount them?
  19. My ex lost mine while riding in sand. Never found it... and I made the mistake of telling her not to worry that it wasn't her fault. We broke up later that day... out 90 bucks for a brand new one. For the longest time I used a vice grip after the motor was warmed up, and just kicked it over by hand. Had to be pushed or pulled to start it cold.
  20. I haven't seen one in action... but of course heard that they're wicked machines. Anyone have any videos of one in action they could post?
  21. Nice find!!! Give Lee a holla... he's the only one who can pin a thread.
  22. As of right now, you can't upload them to the HQ, and you can't link to a pic on your hard drive. You'll have to host them somewhere on the net such as Imagestation to link from.
  23. I put my vote for the paddle masters.... they're the only sand tire I've own, but they've held up well from the abuse of harder packed dirt, gravel, and snow. Good all around paddle, and pretty cheap.
  24. Not for sure on the bolt pattern, but it definitely won't fit. We tried putting paddles off of my banshee and my friend's raptor on an EX with no luck.
