You graduated to 6th? Damn, I must not have been a very good father then. I do find it odd how stuff pops up in the roosting room all the time and the threads directed towards certian individuals... I kinda think it's funny in a way, but it gets old... and quick.

Check this site out.... Jone's helmet cam

You probably weren't talkin much after getting beat by that DS. J/K

B-days suck... people just get extra annoying on b-days... always coming up and asking how you feel now that you've had another b-day. Damnit... I feel the same as I did just the other day.... which wasn't my b-day! Bad experiences on my b-day i guess.

nice setup Boon.... anxious to see what else you have in mind.

Other Twine 2 Strokes Like ____b_a_n_s_h_e_e_s____

Shee is one of a kind. -
You're smokin some serious shit there. A shee's main problem is traction, so how are you going to say a stock shee is going to beat a 4 stroke which is known to find traction better since it doesn't rev as fast? Asphault is the best surface to race on... excellent traction, less wheel spin, and a higher probability that a 4 stroke with it's low end torque is gonna pull a wheelie and have to set it down, which causes it to loose speed. Basically from your statement, you're saying a shee with less traction and more wheel spin has a higher chance of beating another quad in a drag. If that's correct, then I guess I need to start dragging on ice with bald tires and no studs.

Try Zingy.com. They have alot of good ones and more. You have to purchase credits thought, not sure on the current prices, but they're not too bad. Several options to pay with too.
-
Surprised??? No. Baffled by your ignorance by calling a 450 a banshee and insulting the most respectable quad alive, yes. Stock for stock don't mean shit... no one keeps their machines stock... it's aftermarket that counts. If you can find one quad that is easier to obtain HP from then the banshee.... then I'll sell my banshee and buy one of those. Until then, banshees will continue to eat 450's for breakfast, lunch, supper, and every damn snack in between.

I've popped a wheelie while going down a road before and had a pretty awesome/scarey experience. Poor stock grab bar didn't know what hit it. I layed her back in 3rd, and went to hit the brake... only when i did... my right side was off in the grass.... so it slid... and the left side gripped instantly. Spun the shee around and the grab bar caught on the edge of the ashault and layed it over upside down on me. Helmet took most of the beating since my throttle assembly came down on the side of it. Wasn't hurt much since i landed in the ditch, and it was easy to flip off of me... but I had a new respect for the terrain I ride on now, and a much higher respect for helmets and what they can save you in the long run.
-
No kidding... It's good to hear stories with happy endings.... more than likely you were wearing a helmet since you're still alive and able to type after a wreck like that, which just adds another point towards the proof that helmet's do save lives and you shouldn't ride without one.

I bought brand new Oakley O-frame for about 32. They're the softest feeling goggles i've ever owned/wore.
-
Sad as it is... the frame itself isn't exaclty water proof, so drilling holes shouldn't affect much. If you've ever lost a bolt off of something that bolted to the frame.... it's gotten water in it before. As long as you make the holes facing down, and use silicon, or the gromets, you should be ok for just regular riding. My thoughts are don't do it unless you're considering making it a show quad. Too much work just to make it look good while riding. I'd stick with the colored wire looms. They're enough work in themselves with trying to get wires to stay in them long enough to get more in them, but they're a lot less work than drilling holes and risking getting something wired wrong and having to rip everything out to fix it.

I bump my friend's trailer when i can. Luckily mine's a 4 door extended cab... so I can usually fit everything in it, lol. But i do know what you mean about being compact.... i'm going fullsized on my next vehicle, which hopefully will be sooner than later.

Good question... you may want to give mcaf29 a pm and see if he'll get back to you on a suggestion.

Try this thread: Homemade Leakdown tester. It took some digging, but it's a complete how to on making and using one.

I can't see how you say it has nothing to do with the tire and rim... take it off and see if the tire and rim stays on the axle. Here's what I'd do tit... take the hub completely off and check all the splines on the axle (drive shaft as you called it). Make sure all are straight, and not worn, and also check the lip behind the splines to make sure it's not rolled. Next... check the splines on the inside of the hub and make sure they're ok as well. Also check the outside edges to make sure they're not rolled as well, or worn down. The hub itself is held on by the nut and a large washer (spacer). Make sure that washer is on there, otherwise what may be happening is the nut is wearing into the hub, causing it to start out tight, and loosening after you ride a bit. Overall, as long as the washer and nut are on there, and the cotter pin is in place, the rim/tire won't come off while riding. You'll just notice a little extra shimmy and shake while riding.

Sadly enough, there's no reason to delete it... it's in the proper section.

Will I Go To Hell For This Lol
Screamin_Demon replied to chase73's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Lol, that's a great story Chase! The preachers/reverends/priests/fathers that think they are above everyone else need to find a different profession. I can't stand up-tight, high and mighty preachers. I'm glad one got what was coming to them!! -
It's impossible to have your IP address stolen, most change everytime you log on the net. Kazaa itself isn't illegal, that's why it's still there. It's the sharing of copywritten files that's illegal. You can't really get caught or in trouble if you're not sharing copywritten files. All the lawsuits so far have been towards people who are sharing them. I did a bit of research and have kept up with the whole RIAA bit and found out that it's only illegal to share, but not to download off of others and use them for personal use.

As far as I can remember when I swapped them, there wasn't any wear on the housing itself. It was smooth, no ridges or grooves from anything rubbing on it. That was last winter... so I could be remembering wrong.

I took everything off... radiator, hoses ( except one that wouldn't come loose for the world ), and flushed everything out with water, and started fresh with new coolant. I monitored the coolant afterwards, and didn't notice anything in it... looked clean. Within a month, I flushed the system again after a few rides. As far as I now, the cap seems to be in working order. I could see how that could be a possibility. The coolant would bubble out at first, but then once I stopped and it cooled for a bit, it'd take whatever coolant was in the bottle back into the radiator, but it wouldn't leave much in the bottle. I'd checke the level in the radiator, and it'd be near the top. What brought this question up is that I had to add coolant to the radiator itself a few days ago. It's been fine since everything happened last christmas. I didn't think about any of the seals or o-rings. It'll probably be 6 months or more before I could tear into it again and check it out.

My little cousin caused my stock impellor to warp, and eventually sheer pieces off last christmas while riding... (don't ask). I replaced it with a ProDesign proflow billet impellor. I noticed at first it wasn't making as much noise as it used to since the billet impellor wasn't making contact with anything, but I also noticed that my coolant bottle, which was moved up front, was spewing over more, and would barely have any coolant left after the engine had cooled off. I got to thinking this past week about it. What's bugging me is the fact that it seems to run hotter than it did before. Could this be because the coolant is flowing quicker, and it's not spending enough time in the radiator to cool off? Or might there be another reason for it seeming to run hotter? This isn't a major issue or anything, just a thought i've have on my mind for about a week or two... just want to see some other people's opinions and thoughts on this mod.
